Evil Beyond Belief!

Almost every day we uncover more evil being perpetrated within our public services. The latest outrage is a confession by a former undercover policeman that they were trying to dig up dirt on the Lawrence family, the family of a young black lad murdered on the streets by thugs some of whom have subsequently been jailed.

This follows on from so many foul ups by police I am beginning to believe that we cannot trust any of them. The hierarchy, those responsible for decision making, seem to be following ideals that are so rotten and so corrupt that to most of us it beggars belief!

Rewind back to the horrendous execution of Brazilian electrician Jean Charles de Menezes and marvel that the officer in charge of such a shambles is STILL making decisions in the Metropolitan Police.  Think about Hillsbrough and the in house corruption which covered up the incompetence of the leadership on that day.

It has long been a belief that the investigation into the Lawrence murder was a cock up of  immense proportions and there have been rumours of police involvement with interested parties of the people who have since been jailed.  Now we learn that it gets worse and goes so much deeper than any of us could ever have imagined.

People are talking about public enquiries but who can we trust to conduct them? Today in the Daily Mail I came across this example of people within the legal systemIn modern times most of us are outraged at the lenient sentences being handed down to sex offenders and yet we allow people of 'dubious' background into positions where they can influence the law.

I believe that there is now sufficient evidence to indicate that the police hierarchy has been infiltrated by some people who have no moral scruples whatsoever.  We need to get rid of them but who will do it? Who has the integrity to conduct a public enquiry and flush out, shame and punish the guilty? Do we have one leading politician, lawyer or senior police officer who we can trust? The very fact that I am writing this seems to sum up the state of the country!  Is the corruption within our political system now so widespread that it cannot be contained?

People in Brazil are on the streets fighting for a new nation.  What would it take for the British to say enough is enough!

Plebgate!

The Andrew Mitchell saga is taking some very unusual twists.  It has already embroiled Number Ten as he was after all the Chief Whip who the PM was forced to sack. Now the Chief of the Met, Commissioner Bernard Hogan-Howe, is also getting embroiled as he has entered the fray by supporting the original statements of the police officers who were allegedly threatened by the former Chief Whip.

The whole affair is becoming so convoluted that it is difficult to know who to believe and who the public can trust?  Clearly a police officer has apparently committed a misdemeanour by claiming to be a member of the public and penning a false witness statement.  Why would he do that?

But then there was CCTV evidence that has subsequently emerged on news programmes showing quite clearly that there were no 'visibly shocked' members of the public witnessing the confrontation between Mitchell and the police at the gates of Downing Street.  So the original log written by the officers concerned, supported by the Met Commissioner, was also false.

Why has it taken so long for the CCTV evidence to emerge? Surely that would have been the first evidence to be scrutinised? Perhaps it was and the PM has known all along that the police statements were false. Have the politicians been playing a waiting game hoping to flush out members of the Met who were stitching up the politicians?

Whatever the facts something is amiss.  Apparently the Cabinet Secretary investigated the incident albeit, in hindsight, not very thoroughly. I have no sympathy for Andrew Mitchell because I remember his performance as International Development Minister and anyone who loses his temper so readily that he swears at the police has no right to high office but who is behind the campaign being waged by the MET?

Recent events seem to suggest that the top brass at the Met appear to be very 'accident prone' and the the Police Federation made huge capital out of the incident. So the issue appears not to be 'who is telling the truth' but more about 'is anyone telling the truth'.  It does not surprise me that so many organisations so expertly infiltrated by Common Purpose are now in disarray. It is nothing short of shocking!

More Whitewash!

The decision yesterday by a police internal disciplinarycommittee to 'sack' PC Simon Harwood for his unprovoked attack on Ian Tomlinson back in 2009 during the G20 riots comes across as yet another police 'whitewash'. Using this process that they set up Harwood gets to keep his police pension because he has never had a criminal conviction.

Does this mean that he can now join yet another police force because he has done that before?  Following an earlier display of violence he was allowed to 'retire' on medical grounds before joining Surrey police. He then returned to the MET by transfer.  I just wonder what it is about Simon Harwood which makes him such an attractive candidate for the MET and why nobody wants to convict him?

Following on from Hillsborough one has to come to the conclusion that there is a cancer within our society which makes the police bomb proof.  Now I know that we cannot tar every policeman with the same brush. I know a few personally and they are by and large great characters but...in a case like this, which is proven, then the assailant should walk away with nothing. In fact he should not be walking away.

We have got to make an example of them. They have a duty of care to the public so when one of them does something stupid then the public must witness them punished. This particularly applies to Hillsborough where none of the conspirators should escape. The names of the guilty are already in the public domain. Those alive have generally made a good living following their decisions to tamper with the witness statements. I hope that they, once again, don't escape what they deserve.

Links to New International

News International
The story that surrounds employees of News International and the links between them and leading politicians and police is building. Ignorant members of the public like me have no way of telling where it is all leading but clearly someone in the Met is driving it on which means that they smell corruption.

Nowhere are the links more closely examined than a chart designed by the BBC website which has brought all the leading players together  and displayed the type of association. I do have to admit that the inclusion of Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and David Cameron is an interesting distraction.

Many people believe that democracy is largely dead in the water and that the world is ruled by the multi national corporations. If this theory has legs then the link between some of our leading politicians and a corporation as large as News International would be a natural progression.

When a person as close to power as Rebekah Brooks is arrested for a second time and charges as serious as 'perverting the course of justice' are being bandied around then someone, somewhere is onto something. It would only take one honest, incorruptible policeman or policewoman with the courage and commitment to keep digging before a whole can of juicy worms could be uncovered. Remember Elliot Ness?

Stephen Lawrence

Stephen Lawrence was murdered in 1993. Everyone has always known who killed him and today two of the gang were convicted. We all know that others were involved and probably their time will come. We all hope so. The point of this post is once again to focus on the attitude of the police.

Clearly the police failed the Lawrence family on every account. This case has been used to deliver a politically correct agenda which the BBC endorses. It is almost as if the Lawrence case has been used as an example to illustrate how badly the police performed in 1993. It has been used to reform police attitudes. That of course cannot be denied but the 'modernisers' have stitched up the police to such an extent that they no longer appear on our streets.

Post 'Stephen Lawrence' the modernisers kicked in to take the police off the streets. They hamstrung them so that all racial cases had to be handled with kid gloves. As the immigrants poured into the country and committed all manner of crimes the Justice system backed off because nobody wanted a 'race' issue.

Now we are where we are. Doreen Lawrence has proven her point. I too have lost a son so I bear her pain but my son was not lost in such a violent way (well yes he was but not murdered and the pain is still the same). The consequence of the death of Stephen Lawrence has a long arm. His death has been used by the 'modernisers' to further their cause and so to see Common Purpose trained Met officers piously declaring that his death changed the attitude of the police was frankly sickening!

The 'modernisers' took every advantage to use the death of Stephen Lawrence to their own ends. The BBC is as ever leading the way. Where is the compassion? As long as the 'modernisers' are controlling the agenda we will never have closure. They are all on Newsnight tonight!

The Olympic Games

Today's Mail on Sunday is carrying a report that our Olympocrats have plans to create their own transport lane to take them to and from the various events without hindrance from the rest of us. These special VIP lanes won't have red lights or zebra crossings and nothing will be allowed to impair their progress (something like the ZIL lanes they used to have in Soviet Moscow).

Now considering the number of disconnected young thugs who turned out in the riots this action could be like a red rag to a bull. Even for law abiding Londoners who are having to pay for this extravaganza the sight of Lord Coe's army thumbing their noses as they whizz past in their chauffeur driven BMWs could cause deep resentment.

I have a funny feeling that these Olympics could be a disaster for Britain. They have already been hijacked by the Political Class and the Bonus Class so that their profits can be maximised and the public are already feeling distanced.  I can just imagine stolen wheely bins filling the ZIL lanes in London. I fear that the social problems which have been piling up particularly in the London Boroughs could boil over and expose our troubled society to the world.

I strongly suggest that if these so called VIPs want to avoid the public they use helicopters. I really don't think that Londoners would tolerate Soviet style hospitality no matter how much they wish to flaunt their wealth and connections. They may be trying to impose East Germany on us but too many are yet to accept this lifestyle!

The Liberals against the Realists!

All day I have watched the news media struggling with the aftermath of the rioting youth. It is clear that David Cameron has passed down an edict that we cannot have young people looting and anarchy on the streets. He is of course right. I have often criticised him but this time he is bang on the button. The bottom line is that people died, homes were burnt out and small (and large) businesses were devastated.

Personally I don't care if they stole a packet of crisps I would jail them and the reason is that we must set an example. We must have a line which cannot be crossed. The young people must understand that stealing is wrong. There are no degrees of wrongdoing. What is wrong is wrong.

The reason that the riots happened was clearly that the British justice system has lost the respect of the youth of the country. They plainly believe that the police are ineffective, that the courts are weak and if you are unlucky enough to be jailed then you will have a cushy life.

Once again the victims of crime in this country are being ignored by the Liberal political elite who are fighting desperately to defend their failed policies. Constantly the term 'knee jerk reaction' is being used to describe anyone hoping to reverse the trend of weak sentencing and cushy prisons. Some of the offenders are screaming blue murder that they ONLY did this... and ONLY did that but this is the result of years where we have excused criminality.

I don't altogether trust David Cameron but at least he has grasped the nettle and at long, long last we are seeing sentences which reflect the crime. My only worry is that once he has demonstrated his response to the riots things will gradually slink back to the norm. Already the senior police chiefs are proposing that policing gets back to normal (you know... no police on the streets) and sentencing will also follow this example.

The riots of last weekend highlighted what has happend to this country. They have rebounded around the world. Friends of mine in NewZealand and Australia have been shocked by the images which have been shown because they are shocking!!

London was burning just like the Blitz and the people who did it were in the main the young criminals who are probably all on benefits. The politicians and the police and the judges have all encouraged them and must hold their hands up! They are just as guilty as the newspaper industry in encouraging this anarchy. Everywhere the public are under attack from criminal gangs and the mainstream media doesn't report it. If you don't believe me get onto Youtube and watch the police being chased down the streets by a Muslim group after a 'Freedom for Palestine' rally !

We must never drop our guard. This must be the fightback against criminality... yeah I know I can also see the flying pigs in the sky!! Tomorrow we will be back to the norm ...until the next time!

Surely Not?

Riots over fatal police shooting
Youtube is not always a nice place but it does give anyone access to events which the mainstream media fails to cover. The blogosphere also covers issues that remarkably the MSM misses for whatever reason.

I stumbled across this interview as I was trawling through various bits and pieces. There is also another clip of people witnessing a 16 year old girl being beaten by police but the language is hysterical and the evidence inconclusive.

Now some people are voicing the theory that these riots were started by the police. Earlier in the week they shot a young black man dead. In the atmosphere of mistrust that prevails in these government ghettos a group of people gathered outside a local police station demanding answers as to why this young man had been killed.

Police Officers left the station and paraded in front of the crowd. It was then that they apparently attacked the girl who had approached the police line. One can hear the anger in the second clip and of course the rest is history.

There are aspects of these riots that I find troublesome. The Met is the largest police force in Britain. For whatever reason they failed to get their act together for hours after the trouble began. Witnesses claim that they just stood and watched the looters for a lengthy period.  The police allege that their officers were not equipped or in some cases not trained to act. I just do not buy that. They are police officers. They have all been trained to stop crime. They chose not to and that means that someone in their ranks chose not to! I think questions should be asked of the most senior officers in the Met as to why their officers did not react and who ordered them to stand and watch. Of course the track record of the senior Met officers is particularly shameful  when action is demanded but this needs explaining.

It needs explaining because this evidence tends to reflect a chain of events which to put it mildly is not healthy. The ghetto population is particularly easy to inflame and a riot while all the politicians were on their hols was probably the most opportune moment.

Words, words, words...we need action!

I am listening to Ed Miliband as he drones on at the emergency session of Parliament following the riots. How can he conveniently forget that it was him and the Labour party who have created the conditions under which this criminal culture was allowed to thrive. It was the Labour party who opened our borders and failed to control the incoming numbers.

It was under the Labour party that education failed the children. It was under the Labour party that the welfare bill spiralled out of control. They were the people who encouraged young girls to have babies without the knowledge or background to tend for those babies. They created the 'nanny' state and the government sponsored ghettos. They allowed the town hall fat cats and the quangos to flourish. They took the police off the streets and politicised the Civil Service. They signed away our freedom to the unaudited EU and they took us into two (in my view) unneccssary wars.

The record of the Labour party from 1997 until 2010 is lamentable if not downright criminal. Even now they are using these riots to score petty political points. The one aspect of their politics is clear...they never have any policies which benefit the paying public. Every aspect of their political game is of benefit to the Criminal Class or the Bonus Class. Nothing is ever done which would benefit the humble taxpayer and even now it was the taxpayer who suffered in the riots when the police stood back and allowed the rioters hours of freedom to plunder the shops.

The first job that the PM must do is to instruct the senior police officers to deploy their officers onto the streets in force every day. They must patrol the streets and the parks and get closer to the kids who are running out of control. They are far too distant from the public. They are refusing to protect the public and never was this more evident than during the London riots. What the riots have done is demonstrate how weak their performance has become. Many bloggers and to be fair many front line police officers have complained that the senior officers have their own political agenda. It must stop!

It is time for the words to cease. We want action from our politicians. We the public are demanding change. We must bring order to the streets. Then we must bring order to the classroom. It will of course be obstructed by the odious trade unions (who back Ed Miliband) but the PM must take them on and defeat them! The big question is ...will he?!

Will anything change...don't bet on it!

Today David Cameron faced the press outside 10 Downing Street and gave one of his 'tough' speeches. It was the usual speech about not tolerating the looters, the courts had sat overnight, they will all get jail sentences...in fact a speech that would appeal to the electorate who want to hear words like that.

David Cameron is very good at letting the electorate hear the words that they want to hear. Remember his 'bonfire of quangos', his 'British Bill of Rights' or the capping of the salaries of town hall fatcats. The problem is that they are just words and nothing ever changes. He mentions water cannon but then adds 'at 24 hours notice'. What good is that?  Does he expect these riots to last 24 hours?

He then mentioned prison sentences but has he told the judges or the prison service? Ken Clarke keeps letting people out early because we don't have enough prison places for them. So how have we found more and why now? Has he overnight changed the sentencing criteria to accommodate the rioters?

The problem between the Met Police and the black community has long been publicized. On one side we have the gangs that are probably responsible for much of the armed crime, drug running and crass behaviour in London and on the other a police force that I wouldn't trust to walk my dog. There are bound to be tensions!

If we want to solve this problem we must meet it head on. Bring the parents into the court and demand to know why these kids were out of control. Then punish the parents. Make them responsible for the discipline of their children. If the children are prepared to see their parents go to prison because of their actions then we know where the fault lies.

Then we must sort out education in these London boroughs. Get some inspectors to drop in and witness what goes on in the classrooms. Root out the bad teachers and reward the good ones. Not so long ago I posted about Miss Birbalsingh who spoke up at the Conservative party conference and was sacked for her troubles. These ghetto kids need good role models. I read today that there are about 1000 vacant apprenticeships in the London area which nobody wants.

We must begin to include these people in this new society. It is not my society. I never asked for it but the politicians created it and now they must deal with it. If you ignore so many people they will one day react. Don't leave it to the black community leaders get people in who have influence. To start with there are a lot of natural linguists in these communities. Use them! Some of these kids can speak three or four languages and are unemployed.

Children must learn that being clever is nothing to be ashamed of. We must change the ethos of our education system and until we do we will continue to have the scenes we have recently witnessed in London.

Not a bloody clue!

Teresa May with cleavage at the Commons
Teresa May
apparently Home Secretary

The lack of leadership currently emanating from our Political Class is staggering! They appear to be completely unprepared for the widespread violence committed by the young in London last night. This is out and out criminality and will continue until one of these idiots realises that we have just entered a war zone!

I heard Teresa May, apparently the Home Secretary in charge of this mess, this morning and even my wife who normally ignores anything political wanted to 'punch' her!! Her sole response was to ask friends and family to 'shop' those involved. How utterly naive! No mention of how the police were going to stop further episodes. No promise of water cannon or rubber bullets! Nothing to threaten the little dears who are burning people out of their homes.

This is going to spread! Once the young louts in provincial towns realise that they now have cart blanche to take anything they want and that we the honest citizen is actually unprotected then anarchy inevitably will follow.

Oh and by the way...what price the Olympics now? How can we invite the world to Lord Coe's party when the streets are aflame? Until we turn the tables on these young thugs and we 'hurt' them in retaliation then the situation will escalate. We have seen the results of decades of  soft policeing and now we must regain the streets. The only way is to meet violence with violence. It is a lesson that people like Teresa May do not seem able to recognise so it will get worse before it gets better.

Inter Communal Violence!

One step further...it has just been reported that the Turkish community are fighting back to protect their businesses. You see when you strip away the defence mechanism ie the Metropolitan Police and discover that their diversity courses do not protect the people from bricks and bottles then the people only have one course of action...they must protect themselves!

The police have proven that they cannot cope. I have every sympathy for the lads and lasses on the streets. I have been there and I know what it is like to face a rioting mob. The problem is that the senior officers who have been handed their jobs on a plate coutesy of Common Purpose are unable to respond. It was the same when Jean Charles de Menezes was killed. It is a failure of leadership.

Buildings are burning because the police cannot guarantee the safety of the firemen! Come on guys get with the diversity courses because they will prepare you for the front line. Show the rioters your Common Purpose Matrix certificates...that will scare them. Come on girls get on the front line and face the music because years ago you wouldn't have been allowed near the front line. Girl power Yeh!

Today is the day for hard men. We don't seem to have enough of them. Where is the Territorial Support Group (TSG) the bullies who killed Iain Tomlinson. This is not a day for social workers...it is a day for proper policemen... and I feel very sorry for the few that are proper policemen.

London is burning!

I am watching SKY news and I believe that the authorities are seriously worried! Fires everywhere! Croydon, Ilford, Peckham, Lewisham...the capital is being threatened thanks to our Political Class. An anonymous visitor commented on my blog only two days ago that their days were numbered but I never expected this!

I do wonder how far it will go. I don't think that anyone knows but it seems as if it is being orchestrated. The politicians are still trying to play by the rules but it appears to me that their rulebook has just been torn up. The rioting has just spread to Birmingham. How long before it gets to Manchester or Leeds or Bradford?

This is how I remember Belfast in the seventies! Buildings are blazing and yet there is no evidence of fire crews attending. There is a huge fire in Croydon and absolutely not a fireman in sight. Now they are destroying shops in Clapham Junction and not a copper in sight. Reports are coming in from everywhere and breaking news... the PM is returning from his hols (must be serious then!).

I am beginning to think that this is a serious threat to our way of life. Our ethnic community is clearly determined to destroy our lives. They have just announced that there are 30000 police officers in the Met but only a small percentage are trained for riot control!! Is that not just fine and dandy? Pre Common Purpose every policeman could confront rioters! Still no firemen in Croydon!

This is mesmerizing! I have never seen anything so serious and our Political Class unable to respond. Now here's a thought will they march on Westmonster? Could this gang really threaten the very people who have caused it all?

I expected it to kick off one day but I never expected this! I don't like it but perhaps it is what is needed to shake the politicians out of their lethargy and complacency. They have created this situation and deserve all they get. Apologies I have now seen white faces involved in the rioting (but not the looting) still this is too serious to worry about colour and I should never have mentioned it! I apologise!

Well I have been telling you for three years....!

The lawlessness of the black/immigrant community is now coming home to roost. The inability of the police to cope with this lawlessness is coming home to roost. The absence of the British army is coming home to roost. We now have anarchy on the streets of London and it could easily spread. Remember the Metropolitan Police is the largest and best resourced police force in the country and they cannot defend the businesses of people in these ethnic communities.

We have pandered to these people for years. They have been given every advantage and this is how they repay their community leaders and the abject politicians. It is high time that it stopped. I have been reading the comments of people on other sites and it is clear that the indigenous English are becoming really angry. It takes a lot to make the apathetic English angry.

I see the police are repeating the oft heard mantra that 'they will not tolerate mindless violence'...but they HAVE tolerated it for far, far, too long and now they are paying the penalty. Where are the water cannons? Where are the rubber bullets? Where is the tear gas? It is high time that they began to threaten the rioters with lawful violence. These people are just laughing at the law and from the clips I have seen there is not a white face in sight!

But beware because I still believe that this could be a precursor for the introduction of an armed European police force into this country. Our police and our armed forces have been weakened year upon year and we are close to being unable to contain the violence. We do not want any excuse to introduce the EU Stasi or Gestapo. I really do not trust our Political Class.

The introduction of mass immigration always had this scenario in mind. It was clear that if we allowed anyone in and failed to provide the necessary services to cope with them then disruption was bound to follow. I have been blogging about it for three years. We are entering a crucial stage of this confrontation. If our police do not start inflicting injuries on the rioters nothing will deter them. This is war and we are losing!

They were swatted away like flies!

Once again our MPs let us down. I watched much of the Murdoch inquiry yesterday and I wasn't disappointed because I expected nothing and that is what we got. The questions were swatted away like flies from two people who in my opinion had been superbly primed.

One comment from Rupert Murdoch was never pursued because he said that he had been let down by people who he had trusted. Well the first person who had let him down had to be his son James. James Murdoch was the local commander of the family firm because his dad was claiming to be above the routine decision making process.

So given that James had not let him down then who was the next person in the management chain? Well surely that has to be Rebekah Brooks? I missed most of her interview because of bowling commitments but early on she began in very much the same vein.  She knew nothing! She was the captain on the bridge but knew nothing of the pay offs, the phone hacking, the blagging and actually any of the scullduggery associated with former members of the News of the World staff.

The questions continued in a rather benign manner. Everyone was very polite and gosh wasn't it
awfully nice? The Murdochs manipulated and manoevered that committee to such an extent that it was embarrassing. These people are so smooth and prepared that everyone else appears amateurish. They ruled that room from the minute that they sat down.

The bottom line is that IF Rupert Murdoch believes that he was let down by people he trusted then that question should have been pursued so that by the time Rebekah Brooks sat down her backside should have been scalded by the hot seat bequeathed to her.  It was such a waste of time!

Will this reach the PM?

I never thought that I would be posting this but I am beginning to believe that the current police/media scandal could bring down the PM.

There is little doubt that like Tony Blair and Gordon Brown before him he does have strong links to the Murdoch Empire and Rebekah Brooks in particular. His appointment of Andy Coulson (apparently at the behest of Mrs Brooks) was an awful mistake which will now come back to haunt him.

Also niggling at the back of my mind is his visit to the yacht of Nat Rothschild. I know that he may have been acquainted with Nat Rothschild in his early university years but as PM or even a leader of a political party, that is a link which should remain distant.

There is an old saying that 'there is no honour amongst thieves'. If the Murdochs father and son are about to lose their stranglehold on 'The Political Class' I would bet that they could dosh an awful lot of dirt. If they decided on oath to tell the truth I think that there will be a lot of backsides squeaking.

If Rebekah Brooks is facing criminal charges she could probably bring a lot of people down with her. She told her colleagues at the New of the World that in a year they would realise why the paper had to close! A Year!? Is this the year that the whole pack of cards comes tumbling down? Is this the year that all the sleaze which has surrounded the Political Class ever since the inception of the European Union bubbles to the surface?

Ah well tomorrow is another day but if we can lose Sir Paul Stephenson and Yates of the Yard in two days what price a Prime Minister?

How many more...?

They are tumbling like dominoes! I posted on the day that John Yates appeared before the Home Office Select Committee that his performance was so abject that he would be lucky to survive.

I concede that his resignation does not bear comparison to Sir Paul Stephenson because as yet there is no evidence in the public domain that he accepted hospitality from the Murdoch Empire. He did however, fail to examine 11,000 pieces of phone hacking evidence which needs explaining.

Just for fun I am currently examining this list of Common Purpose graduates to find out how many members of the police are included and how far up the ladder they have risen since joining the ranks of the those sponsored by Common Purpose. Sky News has just announced that Cressida Dick will be replacing John Yates. I am not surprised at that.

I emphasise that this corrosion of police officers will continue until someone examines how some of these people leap up the ladder faster than their counterparts who didn't acquire a Common Purpose 'matrix'.

Well it is a start!

Sir Paul Stephenson

I am staggered! After the performances of the Assistant Commissioners in front of the Home Office Select Committee last week I began to think that the Met Police hierarchy were so poor that I wondered how they had been selected.

Then of course it has since transpired that they all seem to have accepted hospitality from News International!

This is beyond belief but I wonder about the culture in the Met. How did they think that they could do their job when they were actually in hock to a media mogul? My angle is who appointed them? Where did they come from? Apparently Andy Hayman for example arrived in London from the backwoods of Norfolk. How did he do it? Who was pitching for him and (on his performance before the Select Committee) why?

When the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police has to resign then it is obvious that he has issues. It is a humiliation, a degradation because if he is corrupt what does it say about his force? Who else has been corrupted? Who else cannot be trusted? I ask a further question is Sue Akers an honest copper? There is no reason to doubt her but if she has come off the same production line that gave us Stephenson, Yates, Hayman et al then what happens when we discover that she too has close links to a media mogul?

Sorry but the whole lot must be swept away and the next generation should have a different criteria applied to them. Of course it won't happen and the system will continue to generate the graspers, the vain, the degenerate and the corruptible. This is the outcome of allowing Common Purpose to select the top policemen for its own ends.

Keystone Cops!

Andy Hayman
Andy Hayman

I am afraid I have been left incredulous by the behaviour of the former Assistant Commissioners of the Met during their appearances before the Home Office Select Committee. Their attitude and moral standards at times beggars belief!

Their apologies rang very hollow and in the case of Andy Hayman he seemed  very flip with his answers. He seemed to think there was nothing wrong to accept hospitality from the very company that he was investigating and from which he later accepted employment .

How can he possibly imagine that people would regard this behaviour as acceptable? At times laughter rang round the room as he protested his innocence. Sky News has done a great job exposing the Keystone Cops who frankly have lost all credibility. I got the impression that these top police brass went out of their way to sweep the hacking scandal under their plush carpets. They seemed frightened to confront News International and one wonders why?

I think that in a quirky way Rebekah Brooks and her dodgy cohorts may have done us all a favour. They have exposed what happens when the wrong people are pushed to the top of the heap by organisations like Common Purpose. I will know that the government have grasped the problem when they investigate the power of Common Purpose. This is the real problem and the rest is frankly window dressing.

I don't believe it!!!

Assistant Commissioner John Yates warned that elected officials would be tempted to siphon off resources from the fight against terrorism

I have just watched Yates of the Yard embarrass himself live on SKY news. He was exposed as at best a lazy policeman and at worst incompetent. In 2006 he took one day to decide that the Guardian did not have any new evidence in the phone hacking scandal which justified further investigation.

This despite the fact that somewhere in the police vaults lay bags which contained 11,000 pieces of evidence taken from the phone hacker's house. He had a staff of 4000 people and yet still did not think that someone should trawl through the evidence to see who had been hacked!

The impression left for me is that he has somehing to hide. There has to be a reason that those bags were left alone.  I do not believe he has risen to the ranks of Assistant Commissioner without a better track record than the one he displayed before the House of Commons Select Committee today. No wonder Chairman Keith Vaz (yes that Keith Vaz) warned him that he would likely be recalled.

There does appear to be a link between Yates and News International. Nobody can yet speculate how close the link was although the mainstream media are poking about in the mire. The current person being grilled is former Met Asst Commissioner Peter Clarke and he sounds just as incompetent as Yates. Nobody can explain why those 11,000 pieces of evidence were overlooked. It stinks!!
