Sorry folks I must apologise. I closed the blog down for January so that I could take Mrs Meldrew to the Caribbean on a cruise! I did actually announce it in a comment but then if it does not interest you then you will have missed it. Sorry...even my American cousin was asking what has happened?!
You have all surprised me because I only began this blog to rant and apparently I am not ranting alone. Let me tell you about the cruise. We left Southampton on 02 January and we were immediately pitched into a storm. We endured 60 hours of Storm Force 10 or worse before we arrived at Madeira.
Our tour guide in Madeira was a German lady with a keen sense of humour who informed us that Portugal was at the mercy of the EU and the elderly in Portugal were drawing a pension of 240 euros a month. In addition the Madeirian bananas did not qualify to EU standards so their natural fruit had been ignored!
We then sailed for the Caribbean under quite a lot of cloud and docked at Barbados. Our tour guide was great. He explained the education system in detail which frankly mirrored the British education of the 1950's. Consequently they had retained the eleven plus and their smartest kids qualified for scholarships to leading universities regardless of background.
Their kids all wore school uniforms, parents were punished for the truancy of their kids and surprise, surprise, crime rates are very low! In the classroom the teacher is still in control, children are taught respect and society benefits.
Barbados appears to be an exception because elsewhere there is a lot of poverty and the Chinese are avidly propping up some islands by building properties like hospitals. Generally benefits are not paid but essential food stuffs grow everywhere so nobody starves.
Back here nothing changes. An MP introduces a commonsense Bill to prevent foreign criminals from using the Human Rights nonsense to remain in this country thus retaining the threat on the streets and predictably the LibDems and Labour think that it is a good idea.
As usual David Cameron, the corporate leader of the country, proved that he is in office but not in power by having to rely on opponents to stifle any common sense from his back benchers who clearly are concerned about the threat emanating from UKIP.
The next time some foreign thug murders an innocent Brit then just remember that Mr Miliband thinks we should keep him in one of luxury prisons at our expense for as long as he likes before releasing him back into the community probably to repeat the process. I cannot understand such treachery!

My Granddaughter plays Basketball!
Modern Britain!? Tonight I watched my granddaughter play basketball for her school at a school renowned for being in the heart of the town's immigrant community. I had to pick her up to take her home after the game.
I was definitely the oldest person in the sports hall of Limehurst Academy Loughborough which made me feel slightly uncomfortable but I was ignored and therefore I could watch in comfort.
This was a scene that is probably being enacted all over the country. My granddaughter is a year 8 pupil competing with year 10 athletes and she really did well. I was so proud of her because some of these girls know how to fight for the ball and were head and shoulders above her in height.
You must understand that it was an alien scene for me. This was modern education and modern youth. Clearly it did not matter what colour anyone is because it is ignored, it does not matter where anyone came from because it is ignored. They all compete equally however .... I noticed that socially they remain in their ethnic groups.
In one corner were the Asian girls/boys, in another corner were the white kids, then another corner housed the black kids but they only came together through sport. Look I only observed the scene but outside of the team the kids knew who they felt comfortable with. It might take yet another generation before these barriers drop if they ever do.
I felt completely alienated from the scene. I was there to take my granddaughter home after the game. There were, actually, no other spectators other than teachers and yet I did not feel comfortable. They Are Trying to Destroy the Country ...but Failing!
We the public must recognize that we have a parliament of charlatans who have been bought and paid for and who are hell bent on destroying the public services. We vote for them as individuals and suddenly discover that they are all part of a huge EU package.
Take my own MP... Nicky Morgan who I have often criticized because she is typical of this generation of our MPs. She supports the EU, she supports Common Purpose and she stood as a Conservative! Her opponent Andy Reed lost his seat on a false premise. She is an out and out socialist! She was hoist on us as an opposition candidate to Gordon Brown! Well frankly Andy Reed never stood a chance because even the British public realised that there was something seriously suspect about Gordon Brown.
So what has happened since? This Coalition Government is destroying us socially. People are still dying in hospitals, the schools are still failing so many of our children, the elderly are being abused too often. Far too many local councils are cutting back on vital services while we squander money on Foreign Aid.
Nicky Morgan does all the right things. My wife is amazed at how many letters that I receive from the House of Commons! Let me make it clear that Mrs 'Meldrew' is a slave to the mainstream media. If you tell her that the Royals and Margaret Thatcher were 'friends' of Jimmy Saville then she goes ballistic!
She would never contemplate that the Royals were possibly involved in the death of Princess Diana because it would not happen. She does not find it strange that the evidence from the 'Dunblane Massacre' was buried for 100 years! The parents of Madeleine McCann are innocent victims. Doctor David Kelly committed suicide? There is significant comment on the World Wide Web to 'hint' that many of our senior politicians are 'bad' people. In these modern times we have far too many 'mysteries' that cannot be explained away by officialdom.
If I talk to my wife about Justin Fashanu, Gary Speed and Stephen Milligan then I am being ridiculous! She is probably right but I cannot help myself.
Never mind.... the economy is improving and I suspect that is much to the chagrin of the EU. How can our economy be improving when every effort has been made to destroy it? How can the economy of the UK be improving when all the other countries in the EU (except Germany) are dying on their EU feet?
I sometimes amuse myself by imagining an Illuminati boardroom meeting when Cameron, Clegg, Osborne and Miliband are being carpetted... 'We told you fools to ruin the economy of the UK and it is growing. How is this happening?"
"We don't know because we are doing our best and the public hate us."
"Then you are just as stupid as the people think you are! We need a person with attitude who lies with a smile on his face. We need a servant who has proven that he hates the British. We will replace all of you with Ken McLusty because he KNOWS how to damage the economy and get away with it!"

Dysfunctional Families?
I recently posted about the state of the people arriving back at East Midland Airport whilst the baggage handlers redirected the luggage of my wife's flight to the wrong carousel! Needless to say there were no apologies and no information for waiting families.
So I saw the 'cream' of the general public arriving home from their foreign holidays. It then struck me what pressure the education system faces when dealing with the kids of these 'people'. I saw one guy drunk as a skunk who had to dive to the toilet and he was accompanied by two adult females, both pregnant (or obese) and a phalanx of children.
They eventually trooped out of 'arrivals' which made me think what school must accommodate the children from such a 'group' (I hesitate to use the term 'family'). Our education system is being forced to accommodate children from disfunctional families even though it is clear that these kids cannot cope with any form of normality.
Our Political Class has created this situation. It does not matter which Political Party has been dominant because they have all combined to destroy the British way of life. I know this because my wonderful grandchildren come home with nits! They know all the swearwords and my daughter once even filmed evil little toerags exposing themselves in front of her house!
These degenerate kids are still in mainstream education! I know that every generation have had their 'poor' kids but this generation seems to have an even more evil input because on line porn makes everything so much more explicit.
I have a 'normal' loving family but I fear that our young girls are being exposed to a culture at an age when they are far too young to cope with it. I have a really beautiful elder granddaughter who has been blessed. She already knows why she attracts male attention but she is still only twelve years of age.
There has to be a system that weeds out kids from families which are dysfunctional from those 'normal' respectable families who really try. They can be identified at a very early age but then the useless Social Services, who have consistently failed vulnerable children, never seem able to get their act together.
If the Public Service Trade Unions, who regularly rail against anyone trying to improve the future of the children, REALLY want to improve the education system then they MUST weed out children from dysfunctional families. Everyone knows who they are and yet nobody seems to have the political will to deal with the problem.
We cannot ignore children who arrive at school age unable to cope with normal decent standards. We cannot allow the families of these children to pollute the education of all the other kids. Headteachers must be given the power to exclude these kids and then take the parents to task.
It is time that we punish the feckless. We must instill a parental standard because if we don't then all our kids will suffer. It is time to stop the race to the bottom. We must isolate the feckless element of our society, remove the kids from the schools and then ensure that any child benefit is also removed from the family.
We must then introduce a pathway to deal with these poor children from broken homes. Their parents are usually the drunken, porn addicted, drug abusing class that cannot cope with parenthood. We really cannot continue to ignore them. Our social services have been seen time and time again to follow a politically correct agenda and ignore gross home conditions because they have to adhere to politically correct theories imposed by our political authorities.
It is high time that our useless social services began to earn their pay. I want to protect my beautiful girls from the children of the scum who produce children by the dozen and then they want everyone else to pick up the tab. We must sort this out!

Does Skegness Really Reflect our Nation?
Today my wife and I took the grandchildren to 'Skeggy' and we had a great day out. We picnicked on the beach, the kids paddled in the sea (despite my horror at the wind turbines that have sprung up exactly at the spot where the public would not want them) and then they hit the funfair.
We had decided that as they had never been to Skegness before we would make it memorable so we bought them armbands (£14 each) knowing that these two daredevils would more than get their money's worth. The sun was shining brightly (why did I take sun screen to Lanzarote and not to Skeggy?) and I now glow!
Whilst the kids were screaming on the 'Waltzers' and 'The Extreme' it gave me a chance to sit quietly viewing the British public and it was not a pretty sight. Now I concede that Skeggy is not the best drawing card but the town is not at fault. The town offers all the attractions of a normal seaside resort. The old seaside smells have all but gone and the beach, the donkeys, the funfair and the shops are all still there.
My beef is the people. Anyone from 'Planet Zog' would seriously blink at the British people on holiday in Skegness. How can I put this? We have a vastly overweight population (mainly women and kids), who are over tattooed ( particularly the women) scruffily but sexually dressed (where has our fashion sense gone?) accompanied by a miscellany of VERY unhappy, ignorant and ill-disciplined children.
The politics of the past forty years have at last completed their brief. Nobody could possibly be proud of the British working class today. Now I realise that many of the people that I saw today were not 'working' class because they were the 'unemployable' class.
We had a great day and loved Skegness but my impression of the British people at the lower end of the spectrum was frankly mind blowing! We have a long way to go to bring back national pride.

Sport and Education!
We are in limbo at the mo and I have been finding it difficult to find a subject without repeating myself but I just have to pay tribute to our sports people because recently we have had almost unprecedented success.
Despite the reluctance of teaching unions to promote sport in schools we continue to deny their socialist dogma and produce excellent young sports people. Every time that one of our sporting heroes dips beyond excellence someone else takes their place.
This has been the summer of Andy Murray, Chris Froome, James Desaola (who?) and so many others and yet our schools are still not allowed to devote time to exercise. Yes, they are paying homage to possibly a new doctrine of playing field sport (for those who still have playing fields) but every school needs a sports enthusiast and in many primary school males have been banished and those who venture into the hen coup are hardly male physical specimens (I am being very modern here!)
We need, at this level, male role models but how do we attract them? What self respecting male wants to dive into this female dominated world where male physicality and male mentality is conclusively denied.
We have celebrated our sporting success but let us examine it. Andy Murray went to Barcelona to escape the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA|).Chris Froome came from Kenya, our cricket team includes, South African trained, Pieterson, Trott, Prior and other mercenaries (Morgan)!
Our education unions persistently oppose sport in schools because it is good for the kids. They oppose competition because it is good for the kids. They oppose discipline because it is good for the kids. They oppose streaming because it is good for the kids. They oppose exams that sort out the kids which is good for the kids. For decades the teacher unions have opposed every measure meant to benefit the kids.
You may by now be getting my drift!! The teaching unions are not in power to help the kids. For thirty (forty) years they have actively destroyed education in this country. They have manipulated exam results, they have destroyed the credibility of the ENGLISH education system ensuring that English kids are disadvantaged. The education system has been manipulated to disadvantage every child. Our kids cannot speak English as well as the foreign kids. The reason is that they have not been educated in English grammar. Even many of the current teachers do not understand English grammar!
Something has to change. Someone has to challenge the teaching unions so that we can get education back on track. The Unions are led by socialists not patriots and that is why most of our kids know nothing about their heritage and their potential. Somehow we must reintroduce traditional education like I had where fairness and competition are not dirty words.

Town Sports Day!
Today I attended the Town Sports Day where all the local kids ran in competition and their parents attended and cheered them on. The reason that I attended was that my second granddaughter was running in a relay race. Now I know, because I have attended a couple of her 'Sports Days' that the emphasis at this particular primary school is definitely non competitive! The Headmistress likes music and so competitive young lads must sing with the girls! Yuck!
So we arrive at Loughborough University (what a lovely setting) and we discover that they are approximately one hour behind schedule. That may be fine for people who have nothing better to do but I am with parents who are both on nights!!
There is no PA announcing results. There is nobody updating the public on what is happening. A couple of people wander in front of the crowd with boards (two numbers) telling you what event is happening. Nobody is announcing which school is winning and nobody is announcing the winning pupils! It is a typically abject performance from the education professionals.
I spy teachers taking their kids to the far side of the track and preparing them for the relay race. All of them are practicing but my granddaughter's teacher has disappeared. The kids mill around leaderless. I asked her why they were not practicing and she tells me that their team does not have a baton!
Eventually the race happens. The lead runner for my granddaughters's team gained a silver medal in the individual race and streaks off. Suddenly at the first handover the second girl freezes and the advantage is lost because the poor girl does not know the rules. She stands still and receives the baton without momentum. The whole team is destroyed and there are tears.
That bloody so called PE teacher has a lot to answer for. I am sorry but lazy, ignorant prats like him should never be in charge of kids. The day was an embarrassment for the teachers. They have no idea how to run a sports day. They were exposed as incompetents and talented children were let down by lazy teachers.
The only fee paying school slaughtered all the rest because their teachers are dedicated to their pupils. They wanted to win! The consequences of this afternoon could be long standing. The poor girl who froze will never forget her embarrassment. The other three athletes feel cheated. They are 10 years of age! Teachers need to be more aware that competitive sport is a fact of life. They have a duty to get involved. It is no longer acceptable to be a wimp and to be incompetent! One half decent serviceman would have saved the day.

I have been a stern critic of education in the UK because, once the politicians abandoned the 'Grammar School', there have been few opportunities for kids from a poor background to escape their circumstances of birth. When I attended a grammar school (in the fifities) any pupil from a council house estate could, through academic achievement, rise to the top and benefit from a university education.
I also believe that education is not purely about passing examinations but it is also to teach good behaviour by example. It is about developing loyalty, team spirit and a sense of pride in achievement. When the national education system began tampering with the marking of exam papers that sense of achievement disappeared. Kids know who the bright students are so when they gain a false mark they are aware that the marking has been manipulated. If the whole marking system has been corrupted then where is the pride in achievement?
My granddaughter gained admittance to George Heriot's following the death of my son in a road traffic accident. Way back in 1628 the goldsmith George Heriot bequeathed money to form a school in Edinburgh and insisted that any child who lost a parent at an early age should be considered for a place at the school. It was and is an astonishing act of philanthropy! These 'foundation' students are treated equally with the children of fee paying families.
Last Monday I watched as 1600 children from ages 5-18 paraded before the school authorities to watch them pay respect to the founder. We then attended a service in the Greyfriars Kirk and finally a buffet lunch in the quadrangle.
All the time I was reminded of a real sense of history and I observed as decent young people mixed easily with staff and visitors. The organisation was impressive but above all these children are being taught to become good citizens and support each other. They wear their uniform with pride. I got the feeling that it would almost be an act of treachery to let that uniform down.
The format that makes this school so successful could be replicated everywhere if there was political will. I suspect that the teaching unions do not have too firm a grip on this school so that the ethos dictated by George Heriot so long ago has continued through the years without political manipulation to such an extent that today it is almost a modern miracle.

The Arrest of the Elderly Personalities!
Am I the only person to feel uncomfortable about the arrest of so many high profile 'celebrities' on charges that happened half a century ago. I have to admit that people like Jimmy Saville was clearly a wrong 'un and so it would appear was Stuart Hall.
I can accept that serial offenders should face the full force of the law even though I cannot agree in this retrospective justice. If it was a serious offence it should have been reported then and not many years later.
We are currently living in a culture light years away from the days of the sixties and seventies. In those days we had 'groupies' who put themselves on the line because they were 'up for it'. This has always been the case. Young girls have always pursued the male celebrities so why have we now had a spate of cases against these venerable but famous former stars.
Once again somebody has an agenda. Nobody can compare life today under the current PC demand with life fifty years ago. Almost everyone who lived through those years knows that life was different. We were not exposed to sex education so we found out for ourselves.
What is happening now is ridiculous and it does not make sense so... as 'Judge Judy' would say... 'if it does not make sense then it is wrong'. Just why are these aging celebrities being pursued when almost all of us who belonged to that generation had guilty secrets?
I would bet serious money that serious money is involved in these accusations. Someone somewhere has seen a gap in the market and in those days so many girls were groped inappropriately that it could become a growth industry!

April Fool's Day!
It is the First of April the day when, traditionally, indigenous members of our society play tricks on each other to demonstrate British humour. In recent years the BBC and some of the mainstream media has taken this to new heights, some of which are funny. So when I read that the Police Federation together with some 'ambulance chasing' lawyers were encouraging their members to claim 'compensation' for minor injuries whilst on duty I immediately thought aah April Fool's Day!
I should have known better. It is true and it is not just a few rogue officers who are abusing the public purse it has apparently risen like a new cottage industry. It is costing us, the taxpayer, some £20 million pounds a year! What on earth has happened to British law and order? How can the Police Federation get away with this? Well I suppose it is the same way that all Public Service Unions appear to be operating against the general wishes of the British public.
It does not matter where we look, it does not matter who proposes reform of any branch of Public Service up will pop an aggressive union rep to pour vitriol onto any proposal that might benefit the public.
It is not just the police. Look at the decline of the NHS where some hospitals have actually become dangerous! Look at the fiddling of the marking fiasco which has all but ruined the integrity of the Education system. Look at the way the public service unions embraced the ridiculous health and safety rules which has often made our emergency services a laughing stock.
It is no surprise to me that Ed Miliband stabbed his brother in the back with the connivance of the Unions. They seem to have immense power which they wield against the public at every opportunity. None of them bat for Britain.
What I find difficult to understand is why none of our Westmonster politicians stand up against them or even expose their evil motives. We have a 'Conservative' PM who has failed miserably to combat the unions. We have a Tory Education Minister who is trying to make a difference but constantly meets with union opposition and seems unable to make a dent in them.
Many of our traditions are being usurped but April Fool's Day should remain because it applies to all of us who allow this Political Class, which includes the public service trade unions, to impose a system which is slowly turning the public into a slave class.

Here We Go Again!
I simply cannot believe that David Cameron thinks that he can resurrect the fraudulent promise he made prior to the last election of an in/out referendum on the EU if he is returned to power in 2015. We have heard it all before and most of us know that David Cameron has absolutely no intention of pulling the UK out of the EU.
He is so committed to this useless behemoth that he will, once again, find any excuse to renege on this one particular promise. Only UKIP would follow through with a fair referendum on this issue. Cameron is trying to stave off the threat of UKIP because they may not win many seats in our redundant parliament in 2015 but they will stop him from winning an overall majority.
Nobody who thinks about politics (and far too many don't) believes that the people will ever get an opportunity to opt out of the EU. By the timescale that Cameron is indicating I suspect that, of the leading players in Europe, only Germany will still be solvent.
In the meantime we will have been inundated by benefit seeking Rumanians and Bulgarians and English speaking Europeans will be ahead of every job market in the the UK because are own children in general are so badly educated that many are unemployable!
I watch PM's Question Time every Wednesday and what always amazes me is that nobody ever debates the matters which affect the people. They trade insults across the despatch box but the matters which we want addressing are never aired in an adult manner.
We have allowed hundreds of thousands of foreigners to arrive here, many of them illegally, to fill our prisons, alter the appearances of our city centres, groom young girls and claim our benefits. Now our politicians are demanding that we build houses for them on green belt land! We have got to forget human rights and once and for all sort this situation out because until they have the guts to tackle this cancer in our society everything else will become secondary.

The Education Authorities
I am appalled by the actions of the education authorities in Sussex who knew that an illegal liaison was occurring between a 15 year old and her married Maths teacher and did not inform her parents. Who are these people who think that they can wreck the lives of a family and continue in authority?
What grounds did they have to protect this stupid teacher against the wishes of the girl's family? It would appear that their affair/friendship was well known within the confines of the school and yet nobody thought that perhaps this girl needed the protection of the authorities and her parents should be informed.
What the hell is going on? Why do our so called education authorities believe that a relationship of this nature should be kept in house. Look they may be in love...they may eventually survive the test of time but...it is illegal...she is under age and her family are distraught.
My problems lie within the system. I have posted before that in my opinion sex education for teenies is too early. It just invokes curiosity. Consequently we have the highest teen pregnancy rate in Europe which is exactly what was meant to happen. It also caused an eight year old to imagine sex between her grandparents!!
In the meantime we now know that there is no transparent system within the education system to stop a liaison between a teacher and a pupil. They totally failed this girl in Sussex and her family. They knew what was happening and now she is in the system. She could become a minor celebrity!
His career is dead but then he was only weak I hope that the education authorities now feel proud of themselves, When the father of Megan Stammers was crying live on television I just hope that the head person of her school was watching and I hope that the education authorities in Sussex realise their catastrophic error.

Education
I return to a recurring theme because in the time that I have been posting on this blog I have always believed that, apart from our membership of the EU, the education of the nation's children should be our priority. I applaud everything that Michael Gove, the Education Secretary, has done because it would appear that he is acting like a Tory Minister which is rare in this Coalition.
He is trying to turn back the tide of mediocrity and criminality which has pervaded our education system. Year after year they have frankly 'fiddled' with the education grades whilst weakening the quality of the examinations. It is one of the worst scandals in the history of this island because it has deprived generations (probably three generations of their birthright) ...a decent education.
So what is he trying to do? He is actually trying to move education standards (in 2015) back to exam based results. No more course input from teachers or parents because the child will be placed under exam conditions. They will have to learn the skill of learning and remembering. It is what I would call really stressful!
I agree with the whole package because it is the first test of life but I do have reservations. How can a generation of teachers weaned on a corrupt system which handed them results on a plate be qualified to teach children to pass an honest exam? Few of them in the state system have any experience of preparing children for an honest examination!
No wonder the teaching unions are yelping! They are facing a veritable nightmare. They have fought off all attempts to legitimise education in this country for decades and then suddenly they are being challenged.
My hopes are that no longer will we see the images on the BBC featuring grinning kids celebrating their multiple 'A*' grades unless they are merited. I want to celebrate the 'A' level students who merit their 'A' grade. I want to be proud of my grandchildren if they achieve a decent, honest, 'C' grade.
If he pulls this off then Michael Gove will deserve a platform alongside Margaret Thatcher because what he is doing could be the beginning of a return to normality for the nation. Once the education system is honest then everything else will fall into place because the kids will appreciate their place in society.
For what... forty years... children have been cheated of their rightful heritage. They have been taught that cheating works. They have been taught that they don't have to put themselves out to achieve good grades. Of course those that deserved good grades suffered because they were compared to mediocrity and they knew it.
Well done Michael Gove but just where will you find the teachers to implement your ambition? Most of them will not even recognise what you want to achieve because they themselves never achieved it. Time to involve and pay a whole host of grandparents who understand your goal?

Education...is there a battle going on?
Anyone who has remotely followed my scribblings over the past five years know that I have been appalled that the Education establishment have been allowed to tamper with the grading system for year after year. These educationalists have actually corrupted British education so that nobody can trust the exam grades.
Students have achieved 'A' grades and yet when tested in a practical setting where they have been asked to demonstrate knowledge and skill they have failed. I saw this directly when I joined an IT training organisation and set simple entry tests.
It gave me a practical insight into the fraud being perpetrated on the British children. The system was rewarding mediocrity and penalising intelligence. Teachers were being granted far too much influence on the grading of the kids that they themselves were teaching. Consequently everyone was happy because all the kids were getting inflated grades.
I discovered this when my own rebellious late son arrived under my care after he left the boy's service of the army. He left school with not a single graded GCSE because he was disinterested. When I put him through my own practical tests I was astonished when he gained marks that placed him 3rd out of an intake of 60! The tests were based on practical knowledge of English, Arithmetic and General Knowledge. Twenty years later he gained a 2/1 degree in Law at Edinburgh Napier University.
British education is in the hands of people who appear to have a vested interest in bringing it down. These people have created a convoluted grading system which only they can understand. It is patently unfair to the clever kids.
Suddenly it is making headlines. Somebody is challenging the system. It has taken 40 years but suddenly the exam grades are being put under scrutiny. After all if you must replace the 'A' grade with an 'A*' grade then how many stars will you eventually have to manufacture?
I have no trust in our politicians but someone is challenging the system. Why now? What is happening? Has the damage been done so that now they want to repair the system? I suspect that a battle has been joined. The Teachers Unions will resist every challenge to their authority. They do not want our children to be educated properly. They have a toxic agenda aimed at maintaining mediocrity. They have dumbed down everything so that exams taken by me at 11 years of age cannot be even contemplated by 16 years old today.
I don't know why but suddenly the politicians think that the system needs an overhaul (and how). I wish them the best of luck because the teaching unions are some of the most articulate, intelligent and poisonous of all our trade unions. After all they have the most to lose. When you are really trying to destroy a nation you begin with education. Tony Bliar knew that!

Education
I find it astonishing the National Association of Head Teachers is threatening to begin legal proceedings against the examining bodies over the marking system! For years they have tolerated the rigging and juggling of results and suddenly they find it unfair. When I was at school we sat examinations. We studied for those exams and if we didn't work hard enough we failed or were awarded poor marks. Course work (which enables parents an input) had not been invented and all our papers were handwritten. If we needed research we went to the library. None of us had a calculator or a computor and nobody could download the perfect answer from the Internet!
For the past forty years the education system has been shamelessly corrupted. Consequently standards have dipped alarmingly to a point where nobody can trust the examining boards. The grades have been manipulated as the exams suddenly got easier. Anybody who knew anything realised that the system was shambolic and that the only people being let down were the students.
Now in a hypocritical outburst the NAHT are accusing the examining authorities of changing the goalposts! These exam boards have been 'changing' the goalposts' to suit their own malign purposes for decades so why the indignation now? It is far too late now to protest about a system that they have supported for so many years.
Until we return to old fashioned ideals and old fashioned exams then those who have an interest in dumbing down education will continue to prosper. It is more of a problem that most of these people are intelligent and articulate; you know the very people who profited from a good education that they are denying to so many others.

Edukashun!
Am I alone in being appalled that education grades have been manipulated by an elite few for many years and they are apparently still at it? For years they have ensured that the grades were better than the previous year so that they could claim that their system was 'world class' (this description attributed to Tony Blair). In reality we all knew that they were faked because the kids actually knew very little.
When they embarrassed themselves by awarding too many 'A' grades they invented the 'A*' grade so that standards could continue to rise. It meant that, regardless of ability, almost every child could qualify for university and commit themselves to a long term debt. Then of course many of them could not get jobs because not only had the GCSE been devalued but the degrees had also been devalued. The whole system has been rotten for years and naturally the people who suffered the most were the people being educated.
Now these arrogant elite socialists have meddled again with their own system. Results could not rise indefinitely so they decided to 'adjust' the bar again and today they announced that they have toughened up the exams so that the results could be fractionally lowered.
Now I applaud that in principle but why did they not announce it beforehand? We have come to the point where nobody can trust the grades announced. We don't now know what they mean. Employers and even universities are often baffled by young people who on paper are intelligent but in practice are frankly pitiful! What the politicians and the governing bodies have achieved is a mistrust in the educational grades that our children achieve.
I don't trust any of them. I would like to trust Education Minister Michael Gove but I can't. If you want to destroy a nation then you attack education because that is the most important aspect of our society. In the fifties it was almost perfect. I passed the eleven plus and went to a grammar school. I was a useless pupil but the education I received has defined my life.
Even at 58 I was so ahead of the competition that I re-entered the Civil Service! The standard of the entrance test was so simple it was almost laughable. It has since been abandoned so now you know the calibre of the lower level Civil Servants. I bet you knew that already!
The exam governing bodies have a responsibility to sort out the mess that they have created. The politicians also have a responsibility to educate our children properly so that anyone can believe their results. We are a long way off recreating the fifties! Of course if you dumb down education to the extent that most of the public have lost the ability to think logically then you stand a great chance of fooling them to re-elect you! Job done!

The London Olympics (continued)
The so called security company G4S appears to have let the country down. They failed to recruit the numbers required to provide adequate security for the public and to ensure that nobody brings in their own sandwiches. Now with only two weeks before the London Olympics kicks off, they appear to be in a last minute panic and are recruiting schoolchildren on low wages to protect the public.
This comes hard on top of the additional recruitment of 3500 soldiers many fresh out of Afghanistan. I hear that the squalid living accommodation provided by the MOD for these servicemen is in places worse than Camp Bastion!
These Olympics are tottering from one crisis to another. Nobody appears to be in charge. Why on earth has nobody been monitoring G4S and been asking pertinent question? I get the impression that the whole quest of the organisers has been profit which has transferred itself to greed. I have a friend who volunteered to assist. He is an experienced athletics official and attended an interview. Since then he has heard nothing! They didn't even give him the courtesy of a refusal.
We already have traffic problems and empty lanes. We already have chaos whenever the rail service practices emergency drills. Civil Servants have been instructed to work at home during the Games.
I dread to think what will happen when we unleash hundreds of unskilled British teenagers on the unsuspecting foreign invasion. You must remember that these visitors have never, ever met a modern British teenager. I know that some are really good kids but then we have the others! They are a joke! Some of them can't even tell the time let alone use a knife and fork properly. They think the 'F' word is the most common adjective/verb/noun in the English language!
GS4 in its own blethering incompetence may give the visiting world a first hand glimpse of how far down the social scale Britain has fallen. When will the authorities realise that if they had recruited the same number of fit pensioners the security would have been guaranteed? They might however, have turned a blind eye to the odd pasty in the pocket and we can't have that can we?

These Olympics are tottering from one crisis to another. Nobody appears to be in charge. Why on earth has nobody been monitoring G4S and been asking pertinent question? I get the impression that the whole quest of the organisers has been profit which has transferred itself to greed. I have a friend who volunteered to assist. He is an experienced athletics official and attended an interview. Since then he has heard nothing! They didn't even give him the courtesy of a refusal.
We already have traffic problems and empty lanes. We already have chaos whenever the rail service practices emergency drills. Civil Servants have been instructed to work at home during the Games.
I dread to think what will happen when we unleash hundreds of unskilled British teenagers on the unsuspecting foreign invasion. You must remember that these visitors have never, ever met a modern British teenager. I know that some are really good kids but then we have the others! They are a joke! Some of them can't even tell the time let alone use a knife and fork properly. They think the 'F' word is the most common adjective/verb/noun in the English language!
GS4 in its own blethering incompetence may give the visiting world a first hand glimpse of how far down the social scale Britain has fallen. When will the authorities realise that if they had recruited the same number of fit pensioners the security would have been guaranteed? They might however, have turned a blind eye to the odd pasty in the pocket and we can't have that can we?

How do we Reverse the War on Youth?
For almost five years now I have been expressing my thoughts on modern British society. I have commented on the endemic corruption which has invaded Britain. It is everywhere and in the past thirty years none of our governments has ever tried to reverse it. Ever since we entered the Common Market which was engineered by a despicable Prime Minister, Edward Heath, our national sovereignty has been usurped.
Since Heath we have only had one Prime Minister truly batting for Britain and we all know that Margaret Thatcher was deposed by the europhiles in her party. Since then the traditional Conservative Party has been in the hands of well, frankly, communists. The so called centre left has invaded The European Union but they are not centre left they are far to the left.
The corruption has spread to all our traditional national services; those services which the tax payer relies upon to protect their interests. Look at the police, the fire brigade, the civil service and more importantly the legal system. They are all under the influence of the PC brigade. Their raison d'etre has been undermined by a unknown influence which cannot be identified. It is a hidden presence buried into the background of our traditional culture. Everything that has been the bedrock of our society has been wrecked by this hidden presence which continues to invade us all.
So where are all heading? We have a largely wealthy older generation who all of their lives have paid into the national pot and are now receiving pensions which the younger generation can only dream about. These old people are living the life of Riley because they have paid for it.
The youth of this country have been let down by a ridiculous education system and now they are being invaded by an army of educated foreigners who actually speak better English than they do. Many of them have manners and recognise responsibility and so these incomers jump into every decent job that appears on the market. They know what is required and nobody has told our kids how to conduct an interview.
The result will be a burning resentment which exploded in the riots of last year. Thousands of dysfunctional young people descended onto our unprotected streets and destroyed a variety of businesses. Many of them have since been jailed but will soon be back onto the streets armed with more knowledge gained from their time in prison.
One day someone will band them together and convince them that might is right. Our police will never cope, our army has been neutered, our legal system fails to punish the evil and our prisons achieve nothing so what will prevent an army of young people taking what they want. It can only be a matter of time.
When will the time comes that those of us who have bought our houses, raised families and contributed to society lose everything to feral gangs.
The young have no conventional future because it is being taken from them. There will come a time when they will have no alternative but to take what does not belong to them in order to survive. I know that this is a grim scenario but what else can the youngsters do? Even those gaining degrees begin their working life mired in debt.
Many are ignorant of conventional decency. they have been corrupted by a lack of natural justice. Their world has no boundaries and no direction. If we continue along these lines one day a gang will appear on my street and occupy my house and I will have no redress. We already have little police presence and no army so when someone organises the immigrant underclass then beware of the consequences. Unless we challenge the people supporting this war on the youth of today we have a very uncertain future!

Education - a sore point!

For 10 years (1987-1997) I was heavily involved in training 16-18 year olds who had left school and hoped to gain employment. It was my job in one capacity or another to assist them into their first jobs and I am still in contact with some of them who have been extraordinary successful.
During that time I was appalled at the education standards but at least we did, at that time, have something to work on and in most cases we could bring the youngsters up to scratch. According to Digby Jones that is not now possible and companies are having to install remedial programmes to guarantee that young people can cope with the basic skills.
So along comes Michael Gove, our Education Secretary, who suggests that we improve state education by ditching the present system of GCSE's and return to the exam based GCE's.
Wow! You would have thought that he had declared nuclear war on the education system. As I write Andy Burnham is bleating on 'Question Time' about the second class citizens that good education would create. Earlier Nick Clegg looked aghast at the very thought of children having a fair grading system. Currently we have a plethera of exam boards who compete for the largesse of schools by making exam papers easier.
We need one national examination board. We need a national grading standard that does not allow teachers or exam boards to 'adjust' the marking system. Those politicians and Trade Union bosses who have vested interests in keeping the education system at a low level will always try to prevent improvement.
Michael Gove has set the bar at a high level. He seems to want to improve the system. That old rogue Ken Clarke has just stated live on national television that the committee that will decide on Michael Gove's proposal is chaired by Nick Clegg and vice chaired by himself!
These two people will then ensure that nothing changes because neither bats for Britain. If any Minister wants to change the system he faces (a) the Public Service Unions and (b) the Modernisers. When almost every front bench politician is now a 'moderniser' it is almost impossible for a true 'Conservative' to introduce a policy which would be good for the public. Maybe that is the clincher! A member of the Cameron government can float an idea which seems like a Conservative policy but has no chance of being accepted.
Michael Gove is highly placed in the Cabinet. Like David Cameron he is articulate and presentable. He would not be in the Cabinet if he was not a moderniser. He is pretending to be a Conservative. Sorry folks but if you want to understand the man look at his mates.

How many More?
Today yet another soldier was killed in Afghanistan. It is now almost a daily occurrence and yet nobody can explain what on earth our troops are doing there. The Americans have actually taken our troops out of the worst area because we could not cope.
The British Army is being reduced by the Coalition at every level. That is incorrect because the British Forces are being reduced by the banker supporting Coalition because it would under normal circumstances be a thorn in the flesh of 'modernisation'.
When I was a soldier I knew that I could expect a decent pension for my service. Yes I knew that my military service would impact on my family but eventually we would be compensated. I reckon that now almost nobody gets through to decent pensionable age.
My generation advanced on the Falklands and contained Northern Ireland. We are now old men but we rarely faced the kind of adverse conditions that our lads and lassies are facing in Afghanistan. They are now on a hiding to nothing because they are not fighting for the country...they are fighting for the ambitions of the bankers.
We used to fight for Queen and Country but it does not have the same resonance if you are fighting for the Central bank of Rothschild (ask the Syrians)! We have been at war in various disguises since the 1990's ever since Tony Blair (amazingly) and George Bush formed a 'partnership'. Since then our country has been continually at war.
Our servicemen have been offered up as sacrificial lambs. WE have become the mercenaries of the banking world. They are now setting up the next coup for their masters.
The army was a really great life but if you are being used as cannon fodder with no guarantee of a future then get real! Do not do it! It is really nice to have your name read out in the House of Commons by guys who don't give a flying fig for you but if you have been blown to bits only your family and friends mourn!
It is now clear that the Coalition and their banking friends have decided on a policy which will ultimately destroy the British Army. It will become a mercenary force at the behest of the bankers. Our forces are being cut back year after year and our compliant population/press/parliament/ care not a jot.
It is however still OK for our toxic politicians to pretend to care in Westmonster every Wednesday at PM's Question Time when they routinely announce the names of the dead and care not a jot for the families of those that they have killed for their bankers' ambitions.
They do not reward former soldiers with opportunities to feed their families or even to recover from their wartime experiences. The politicians are actually heartless when it come to ex-servicemen. The word seems to be if they were daft enough to risk their life for a daft cause then they deserve what they get! They really don't care! Why else has Royal Wootton Bassett disappeared from the scene? What happens now? Do any of you know? No it has disappeared because they were ashamed of the bodies continually being paraded through the streets. It exposes them to the consequences of a war which does nothing for this country.
Our politicians are ALL in the pay of the Banking Class and our military are the sacrificial lambs. Look out for the next announcement that out banking sponsored military force will soon enter Syria as the banking authorities demand another victory.
Only Cuba, North Korea and the Sudan would be left without a central bank then.
