Julian Assange

I have no brief on the case of Julian Assange but my gut instinct is that he is fighting the New World Order almost single handed. He founded Wikileaks which of course is regarded by the NWO as the highest form of treason. Anyone who takes on the powers that be (TPTB) realise that the freedom of speech and the freedom of activity is becoming increasingly rare.

Way back a year last February about 800 people gathered at Birkenhead to support a certain Roger Hayes who months later was arrested and tried in a court which was apparently not listed in the normal manner.

I always get twitchy when I see William Hague on television spouting for his masters. He, like most of the Cabinet, are acting not in the best interests of the country but in the best interests of a corporatocracy that has little to do with we the public.

We, the public, have just been granted an extraordinary fortnight at the Olympics when the EU flag has been absent and we have 'been allowed' to support the Union Jack. The British Public have come forward with an unprecedented display of national unity which illustrates just why we will never get a referendum on membership of the EU.  

We don't want their euro, we don't want their silly flag and we would totally reject their artificial proposals for anything in the future.  The Olympic fortnight must have convinced our politicians that they are on a hiding to nothing. Clearly our democracy and our parliament have been subverted by people who care not one jot for the people that they represent. They have all been outed by Olympic fever.

The British people have made their choice. We support the Union Jack! The Cameron/Clegg/Miliband/Salmond bandwagon was destroyed as gold medal after gold medal was shrieked home by ecstatic crowds (in the cheap seats of course). We have had a rest from politics and what a wonderful time we have had. In September these oppressive bastards arrive back. Have we missed them?

Sorry but I am so Proud of our Athletes!

Tonight two young British girls delivered the ultimate accolade for Team GB. They both won gold medals in fighting sports which have previously been denigrated by people like me! I hated the very idea of female combat sport but I am afraid I do have to accept it.

I must also remember that there was a time when the 'ladies' were not allowed to run above 800 metres at the Olympic Games. Today two girls, both of them who have charming and engaging personalities have broken down barriers.

I woke up this morning annoyed at the accolades delivered by the BBC on 29 year old Nicola Adams who, because she was small, black and female she suited their diversity campaign. I remember thinking that Hazel Irvine would probably get an extension on her contract every time she mentioned Nicola's name.

Then along came Jade Jones| How many of us had heard of Taekwondo before these Games? How many of us had heard of Jade Jones? Both of these girls have beaten the world in combat sports. Both girls should be treated with equal prominence. I await with alacrity how the agenda driven BBC will treat both gold medallists but we all know who will receive the most publicity.

Jade Jones will not meet the criteria of the multicultural, multiethnical state sponsored scheme because she is a normal girl from a normal family who have supported her through thick and thin. That also applies to Nicola and both girls have performed at the highest level and gained gold medals. I want equal opportunity!

Already BBC Newsnight are lauding Nicola Adams and not a mention of Jade Jones!! I knew it! They are already lining up Nicola Adams as a downtrodden heroine so that their programme  can proceed. Poor old Jade has rather upset their agenda because she too won and yet her family has had no more adversity than Nicola's family.

What a shame that nobody is even debating these issues! We just accept them and then and pay our license fee.

What a Wonderful Show!

Like most people I have been caught up in our Olympic Show. It is amazing that once the politicians had to butt out then Great Britain emerged in all its glory.  I have never seen such a show of national spirit. It is almost as if the people decided to show the politicians that despite their efforts to ruin the country we are all still here and we will still sing the National Anthem and you can stick the EU up your proverbial.

The people have spoken during these games and the competitors have responded. The commissars of the EU must be frowning.  They must wonder what they have to do to crush this spirit but then Hitler thought that too.

I have been amazed and I admit that my doubts have been unfounded. Once again this magnificent nation has risen to the occasion. The rest of the world rejected our Games so the people came out and stuffed them. In my opinion these Games could change the face of the nation. 

Our wonderful lads and lasses have proven that the lack of competitive sport in schools was a tragic error. The selling off of school playing fields was a tragic error. Failing to allow our kids to compete was a tragic error. More than one generation of bought and paid for politicians have been brought to their knees by gold medal after gold medal.

They try to justify their bias by reminding us that the father of Jess Ennis was originally Jamaican not that she is a Sheffield lass produced by this country. Mo Farah is held up as an example of incomer success and of course he is and he was brilliant... like many others. But...do us a favour...look at the rowing and the cyclists! Do we have to apologise to be white, British and successful?

The big loser is football. Once again the overpaid, uncouth, louts failed at the simplest of tasks...taking a penalty. Captained by a proven marriage cheat and led by an over age violent, over tattooed, psychopath, they fell to South Korea because they could not master the basic skill of taking a penalty.

The player that failed, Daniel Sturridge, is paid an absolute fortune by Chelsea, compared to many of the people who won medals and did not not wilt under pressure. He had to convert one penalty (in a qualification tournament) and yet Peter Wilson in the clay pigeon shooting had to hit both targets to win a gold medal.

I have despaired for my country for five years now and suddenly we have been reborn. Suddenly we did not have to rely on the EU and their judges and our shocking politicians. Suddenly the British people rose up and bit the bum of the people who thought that they could sell us to the New World Order! I am really emotional. These Olympics, despite the efforts of the politicians, have been claimed by the people. I never thought that I would see it happen.

It is perfect!

Why Don't They Upgrade?

After seeing another day of rows and rows of empty 'posh' seats in almost every Olympic venue one has to wonder at the lack of empathy that the Olympic Games Committee has with the British public. When we see the committed public filling up the 'cheap' seats surely it is not beyond the imagination of someone to say 'move them down to the front'.


It is this lack of imagination which is destroying the credibility of LOCOG. Profit has been their only mantra and profit turned into greed. When I see all the cheap seats filled to capacity and then the rows of empty 'dear' seats I wonder where it all went wrong? There are people who were refused tickets for the events that they applied for and are now witnessing vast areas of empty seats for those very events!?


These Olympic Games will be a success because the level of competition is the ultimate on this planet (unless you are a Spanish footballer of course...sorry I just couldn't resist a cheap shot).  We will all get caught up in the hysteria and so we should because all our competitors have dedicated a period of their lives to this competition and they deserve our support.


What a shame that the Political Class has, once again, fouled up their end of the bargain. 'Lions led by Donkeys' comes to mind yet again! I say again ...when they have the opportunity then upgrade the faithful. I don't just mean upgrade, I mean if Andy Murray is playing at Wimbledon and there are seats in the Royal Box then fill it! Come on if people are that keen then reward them!

G4S is an Omni Shambles!

Today the Chief Executive Officer of G4S was grilled by the House of Commons Select Committee on his non performance. Clearly he is a joke! He is a not very funny joke because this company was relied upon to ensure the security of the 2012 Olympics. My question is why this particular company, which clearly is a cowboy outfit, was trusted to such an important event?


I cannot believe the ethos of this particular company. They rely heavily on a migrant force. The television crews are circling around people who are desperate for jobs! This company relies on a low level of expertise. Their staff clearly have no great skill and yet they were granted the contract for security for the LONDON OLYMPICS! We are sacking police and soldiers by many thousands and then we are granting a contract worth 57 million pounds to a cowboy outfit who cannot meet the terms of their contract.


It emphasises the complete farce that LOCOG has made of our Olympic Games. I believe that the corruption which has pervaded our politics and our banking system was allowed to invade the Olympic Games. We now face the accusation that London has been the cross on which the Olympics floundered.  When the London Olympics were awarded to this city then security was surely paramount? It should never have been handed to a cowboy private company. It should have been purely a government concern. So...how much money changed hands Lord Coe?


So many people have tried so hard to be ready for the London Olympics. We have so many people ready to win medals for the UK. There were so many people with goodwill carrying the torch through so many towns and villages cheered on by their friends and family. This is how the UK public want the Games to happen.


Our politicians however tried to turn this high profile event into political advantage. They have ruined this spectacle because the same people who have ruined the country were in charge of the Olympics.


Step forward McDonalds, Coca Cola and the other international corporatocracies  who control everything. They have manipulated the whole event for their profit making empires and they used the name of Seb Coe to ensure their legitimacy.


However, when the starting pistol fires, I will be the first person to roar our guys and girls home. We have so many superb athletes who are ready to perform on their home stage. I just pray that they will all leave safely. The cowboy empire which now want their management fee for failure cannot guarantee that they have employed the right people. It will take just one G4S security cleared person to change our society forever.

Are the British Public Rejecting the Olympics?

I am getting the impression that there is an air of desperation emanating for LOCOG. The highly charged atmosphere of optimism which pervaded every launch of Olympic tickets seems to be evaporating.  They are now admitting that the football stadiums will not be full.

I can understand that because there is rarely interest in foreign countries playing each other on neutral territory but there has also been a parade of paralympic stars talking up disabled sport during the last fortnight and asking people to support them.

Tonight Lord Coe surfaced talking up their performance so far but hinting that certain sections of certain venues may have to be closed down. He fell back on the old chestnut that some venues were still being constructed but I could not help but feel that the mood was changing.

I am beginning to wonder if the British public are a little more shrewd that the politicians took them for. I may be wrong of course and I often am but...sky high accommodation prices, rip off food and drink charges and abysmal travelling facilities are not an attractive proposition. People are not stupid and London is not regarded as a safe venue in the modern era of mass immigration and an incompetent UK Border Agency.

Top that off with the army of criminals from Eastern Europe waiting to pounce on our pockets and purses, the major doubts about security epitomised by G4S and watching Alastair Brownlee stuff the triathlon world on TV becomes a much better bet!

I recently read that thousands have followed the Tour de France free of charge but if you want to watch the same cyclists in the Olympic Road Race it will cost you £240! How can they close off such a large section of public highway beats me but they can't let anyone have Olympic fun for free!


There are still tickets available for the Opening Ceremony but they will cost you £2000! I shall be very interested in any empty seats when it comes to the flagship events. There have been stories that foreign countries have been returning tickets by the cartload but we will not see the full extent until the games begin.

The London Olympics (continued)

The so called security company G4S appears to have let the country down. They failed to recruit the numbers required to provide adequate security for the public and to ensure that nobody brings in their own sandwiches. Now with only two weeks before the London Olympics kicks off, they appear to be in a last minute panic and are recruiting schoolchildren on low wages to protect the public.


This comes hard on top of the additional recruitment of 3500 soldiers many fresh out of Afghanistan. I hear that the squalid living accommodation provided by the MOD for these servicemen is in places worse than Camp Bastion!


These Olympics are tottering from one crisis to another. Nobody appears to be in charge. Why on earth has nobody been monitoring G4S and been asking pertinent question? I get the impression that the whole quest of the organisers has been profit which has transferred itself to greed. I have a friend who volunteered to assist. He is an experienced athletics official and attended an interview. Since then he has heard nothing! They didn't even give him the courtesy of a refusal.


We already have traffic problems and empty lanes. We already have chaos whenever the rail service practices emergency drills. Civil Servants have been instructed to work at home during the Games.


I dread to think what will happen when we unleash hundreds of unskilled British teenagers on the unsuspecting foreign invasion. You must remember that these visitors have never, ever met a modern British teenager. I know that some are really good kids but then we have the others! They are a joke! Some of them can't even tell the time let alone use a knife and fork properly. They think the 'F' word is the most common adjective/verb/noun in the English language!


GS4 in its own blethering incompetence may give the visiting world a first hand glimpse of how far down the social scale Britain has fallen. When will the authorities realise that if they had recruited the same number of fit pensioners the security would have been guaranteed? They might however, have turned a blind eye to the odd pasty in the pocket and we can't have that can we?

The Paramilitary Olympics!

I do sometimes wonder what it will take to reorganise the Home Office. Since our Civil Service was politicised by New Labour the performance of many of our goverment departments has plummeted but nowhere is it quite as inept as the Home Office. For a government department to be unable to guarantee security at the London Olympics to such an extent that they have to call in 3500 troops is a national scandal. 

These games start in a little over two weeks so they have two weeks to train and organise serving soldiers who must be somewhat resentful. Why has it taken until now for LOCOG to discover that their security contractors are incompetent? What has the Home Secretary been doing? Of course anyone who can foul up the UK Border Agency should not be trusted with security at the Olympics but then Theresa May is a moderniser so that excuses everything

Many of these soldiers have just arrived home from Afghanistan and apparently have been told to cancel family holidays to shore up the Home Office incompetence. I never thought that I would ever write this but they should go on strike and refuse!

How can it be that all those politicians and senior Civil Servants who receive perks beyond the comprehension of most of us (and most soldiers) continue in their jobs after this shambles. Theresa May should resign in shame. Why is Ed Miliband our political opposition not demanding her resignation. Oh I forgot he is on holiday along with all the others.

I have long posted that these Olympics are verging on a shambles. We have surface to air missiles mounted on private residential property. We will have security guards checking that the public don't intend to picnic or even eat their own food. McDonalds have a concession which allows them alone to sell chips. I should correct that to French Fries because they can't cook chips!

The organisation of the Olympics is likely to be flawed. Something will go wrong. The only guarantee is that only the general public will suffer. Those incompetent senior officials and politicians will continue to enjoy their bomb proof lives receiving their bonuses and enjoying the best seats. Perhaps we should rename this event the Paramilitary Games!

The Olympic Torch

I have been amazed that some Olympic torch carriers have been flogging their torches on E Bay. I am not amazed by the act, because so far there has been so much sleaze associated to these commercially orientated London Olympics, but by the lack of tradition.

The London Olympic Committee has completely rearranged the tradition of these games. There was one torch passed in a relay by athletes who gave the impression that they had a right to carry a flame which symbolised athletic achievement.

Today the flame is being detoured around Britain in an attempt to get the nation involved in what has been largely a London only Olympics. There have been people struggling to jog 300 yards accompanied by a posse of police and the whole process only serves to make the nation look ridiculous.

Now we discover that hundreds of these torches have been produced and some of the nominated carriers have followed the example of LOCOG and profited from their involvement in The London Games. They may be lower down the food chain but the intent is the same.

This morning the flame went out when it was attached to a wheelchair. Further comment would be inadvisable.

Missiles on the Rooftops?

Today I heard that Londoners had been warned to expect ground to air missiles on some of their rooftops! Is this for real? What are the government scared of? Are they really using the Olympics to scare the 'Bejasus' out of the rest of us? They are spending a small fortune of taxpayer's money protecting the Political Class but guided missiles?


I have said it often. We are an island nation. Nobody should enter this country without the knowledge of the authorities. They themselves conspired to weaken our natural defences for political gain. Do they really expect North Korea, Iran or Pakistan to launch a missile at the Olympic Games? 


If they are expecting an attack from within then we have only ourselves to blame. The people did not import terrorism, the people did not declare war in the middle east and there was a time when we only fought wars to defend ourselves or our colonies. 


I hope that I am wrong. I really hope that I am wrong but I foresee an Olympic disaster. I just do not know what will occur. I have always been an Olympic fanatic and that is probably why I hate the way that these Games have been hijacked for profit. The public will pay and a few will profit. I just hope everyone will be safe. Time will tell.

Our Borders and the Olympics!

It is all coming home to roost. The travesty that we have all known for years that our borders were deliberately made as porous as possible now threatens the Olympic Games. The Political Class, in their quest to swamp the UK with undesirables, have seriously undermined the Border staff. Clearly they cannot cope but now it is about to have an adverse effect on their beloved Olympics. 


I believe that we are hopelessly ill equipped to deal with the influx of the numbers about to descend on the UK. Unless they reverse years of neglect very quickly they cannot possibly cope. I suspect that London cannot hope to cope. The transport system is inadequate for every day use so what happens when the world arrives?


For the sake of the athletes who have trained so hard for so long I really hope that the Political Class will forget their malign agenda and their quest for profit and produce a memorable Olympics. The problem is that it has been organised in such a cack-handed fashion that too many people have been left disappointed and disillusioned. Many volunteers have been rejected for no discernible reason.


I only know two people who have received the tickets that they wanted and they are interested in a rather minority sport...volleyball I believe.  Nobody else bothered for a variety of reasons. Travel is expensive and unreliable, hotels are expensive and unaccommodating and crime is rife in the capital. We just do not see police on the streets and immigration has changed the capital into an unrecognisable and alien society.


I will always hold my hands up and apologise when I am wrong but the portents for these 'Lord Coe' millionaire's bonanza are acute. Apparently Spain has returned huge numbers of tickets, the football is seriously under-subscribed and I suspect at the last minute huge numbers of unsold tickets will suddenly appear on the market where they should have been in the first place.


Everything has been mishandled. Here in Loughborough we have a world class, renowned Bell Foundry that we are proud of and they bid for the production of the Olympic Bell. They lost to a London based company who then sub contracted the production of the bell to a Dutch company because...they could not produce it locally! Now forgive me but...surely Lord Coe (who in his heyday studied and trained at our local university) and our local MP, Nicky Morgan, could have verified that the winner of this prestigious contract were capable of making the bell in the country hosting the Olympics? 


Companies associated with the UK seem to have been systematically ignored when bidding for Olympic contracts. It is typical of the 'modernisation' lobby that at every turn the ethnic UK  businesses are either being ignored or sold off. Am I wrong? Tell me if that is not true. In my opinion these Olympics have been sullied by politicians and the public know it.

Olympic Tickets

Ever since LOCOG began their jiggery pokery with Olympic Tickets hiding behind a cloak of secrecy I have been very suspicious about their integrity. It has all been too complex and amidst the complexity comes the accusations that the best tickets have been held back for those that can (a) afford them and (b) merit them.


Of course, I write from a platform of ignorance as I do about so much, but at my age I have a well honed nose for scandal and  criminology. What has surprised me is that the Political Class is keeping very quiet about the antics of this private company LOCOG and it seems that, as with Common Purpose, nobody wants to be the one to open the can of worms.


I understand however, that they are about to release another batch of tickets onto the open market. I wonder why? Have these tickets previously been allocated elsewhere and not sold? You see I know that the sports nuts will always support the Games but unless you get access to the fast lane available to the athletes, the officials, the politicians and the downright rich then London will be chaotic!


Amongst the genuine visitors will be thousands of criminals. Pickpockets will have a field day as will muggers. London is not a safe city and I for one have not forgotten the riots last year. Now if I think along those lines then so will many other people.


Today I discovered this radio conversation featuring Baroness Dee Doocey who just happens to be the Chair of the London Assembly's, economy, culture and sport committee. Now if LOCOG will not respond to her enquiries then what chance the rest of us? My nose tells me that something is not right and by the time we discover what it is the killing will have been made.

The London Olympics (again)

Once again, the underhand activities of the London Organising Committee of the Games (LOCOG) are coming under the spotlight. Their efforts to ensure that the political elite benefit over the general public have caused outrage but every time someone scratches the surface another smell emerges.

Today in the Mail on Sunday they have warned of a 'Despatches' programme on Channel Four (scheduled for tomorrow evening) which exposes a scandal where companies like Thomas Cook, have been allowed to purchase 300,000 tickets for £25 million (now you know why you only got the minor sports) and are now including access to the VIP lanes which will whisk their clients past the public struggling to cope with the extra volume of Olympic traffic.

I remember Lord Coe (Chairman of LOCOG) promising on television that the public would receive 75% of the tickets. I do not know how many tickets are available but when one commercial company creams off 300,000 of the best tickets surely it renders his promise untenable.

The Olympics is a great sporting occasion but in my opinion LOCOG have demeaned it by concentrating on profit above fair play. There was always been a taint connected to the ticket sales and connected to the eventual destiny of the accommodation built to house the athletes. I will watch 'Despatches' with interest but I suspect that I will not to be too surprised with the findings.

Can it get any worse?

There comes a time when most of us just shake our heads in disbelief at the ineptitude of the Political Class who are paid a small fortune to keep us safe. Time after time I have criticised the people organising the Olympic Games and continually they endorse my mistrust of them by committing acts of inexplicable stupidity!


Now comes news that a police officer took a packet of security plans for the Olympic Games and left them on a train in Kent. Can you imagine that? What kind of numbskull would do something like that and as it happened on 5 January we have been kept in the dark ever since.


A public spirited citizen handed them in to 'The Sun' who of course published the details which included mobile phone numbers of other senior officers and details of 'lock down' procedures in the event of an emergency.


The response from the Met is of course typical. Don't worry folks, no big deal, officer reported loss, nothing sensitive compromised so business as usual. Well it really is 'business as usual' for the Met officers who have form for waving around Top Secret 'Codeword' documents in public.


I worked with Top Secret documents for 20 years and there is absolutely no way I could have smuggled anything out of our military bases or would have wanted to. If they had to move they were properly accounted for and moved by official courier. How these officers think that they can just pop them into a 'bag' and be trusted not to leave them on a train baffles me.


By the way the computer for the return and sale of Olympic tickets limped back on line yesterday but with one important omission. We can't now buy any of the returned tickets. The authorities will now buy them all back and reallocate them later but won't say how. They probably need time to think up yet another scam!

London Olympics- Meltdown!

I just cannot credit the ineptitude of the people charged with running the London Olympics. This was the morning that people who had obtained tickets that they didn't want (probably half the nation) were informed that they could return them for resale.


At the same time buyers were lining up to buy the returned tickets. One would have thought that the technology would be in place to deal with this gigantic swap but...the system broke down and couldn't handle the demand. You couldn't make it up! 

The London Olympics

I'm afraid that I was not surprised to hear that our Olympic Games organising committee had oversold tickets for the synchronised swimming by 100,000! 

I do not know who devised the ticket allocation system but when you are actively trying to prevent the public from getting the good tickets then everything is bound to get over complicated. It is therefore no surprise that when you are juggling tickets for politicians, civil servants, corporate bodies, sponsors, visiting foreign dignitaries and your own relations then something is bound to get fouled up.

These Games are on the verge of becoming farcical which is a shame when you appreciate the huge efforts that our competitors and their families and coaches make to get them to the starting line. Whatever happened to first come first served with the only preference given to the competitors and their friends and family?

The London Olympics

Every time that I pick up a paper it appears that something else has bespoiled the London Olympics. The Political Class that are responsible for this event seem hell bent on spitting on the public. Every conceivable opportunity is being exacted to gain maximum advantage and illustrate to the public just who is in charge.

Firstly we had the ticket farce where people paid up front for tickets
not knowing which event they had been allocated if indeed they received any tickets at all. Then we realised that many of the better tickets had been 'awarded' to corporate bodies and were being used as 'prizes' for their customers.

We then discovered that more of the better tickets had been reserved for the politicians and their cronies and that they had been almost exclusively been awarded tickets for the main events. If that wasn't bad enough it was released that some tickets had never been on offer and had been retained for foreign dignitaries to exploit.

We won't go into the scandal regarding the future of the Olympic accommodation which at one time was meant to be affordable housing but eventually ended up in the hands of property developers but now we also hear that VIPs will be transported by a fleet of 4000 BMWs along dedicated lanes to avoid the inconvenience of mixing with the public!

Now the UK Border Control (yes apparently it does exist) announce that Olympic VIPs will receive dedicated passport lanes to avoid the normal crush! They pile indignity after indignity on the public and I sense a weary resignation descending on so many of us as this farce unfolds. I do wonder however, what happens if this weary resignation turns to anger. I believe that the Olympic Games might just be the catalyst to ignite the seething frustration felt by so many.

We have mass lawlessness in our society. The UK is becoming a very dangerous country stuffed to the brim by feral foreigners unaccountable to the authorities. Most of us who live here know when and where to venture but visitors don't! If it kicks off they will need more than 23000 security guards to protect the ZILs ...sorry BMWs!

Olympic Games Tickets - now they are prizes!

I have been scathing about the allocation of tickets for the 2012 London Olympic Games because it was not as transparent as it should have been and wide open to abuse.

People complained bitterly about not getting the tickets that they wanted and then it transpired that the government had bid for some of the most prized events.

Now we have EDF Energy advertising Olympic tickets as prizes in a competition that they are running. I notice however that they are not advertising what events these tickets are for? Did they receive these tickets through the back door like the politicians did or are they actually valueless...you know nonentity events which create little interest?

The problem with a system that lacked transparency is that it creates suspicion. EDF are not the only large company using Olympic tickets as prizes so I wonder how many tickets disappeared before the public got a look in?

Ground to Air Missiles??

WTF? How on earth can we the British people be contemplating the use of Ground to Air Missiles to protect the Olympic Games? What is happening? Who do we fear and if that is the suggestion why did we bid for this toxic event?

Ever since we prevailed in our bid for the 2012 Olympics the British people have been betrayed. The sale of tickets became a commercial enterprise. The building of the Olympic village and the stadium still reaks of sleaze particularly when it comes to its disposal. Everything has been arranged behind closed doors and clearly under the auspices of Lord Seb Coe huge profits have been concluded.

All of my life I have loved the Olympics. I have loved the ultimate competition and celebrated all of our medals. Suddenly, typically our sleazy, Political Class have achived the ultimate... they have actually turned me off. Why should I bid for tickets when all the corporate bodies had already been allocated the very tickets that I wanted?

Why should I bid for tickets for minority events which frankly do not interest me? Those people who naively submitted their credit card details for something that they didn't want will now find themselves spectators to uninteresting activities. They are being used to fill up the empty spaces. 

Sorry but if they really believe that we may need Ground to Air missles to defend the Olympic Games then I will watch on the telly!

Even from here in sunny Orlando a story on the Mail on line caught my eye purely because I warned of endemic corruption some weeks ago. The sale of Olympic tickets has been a scandal of epic proportions but now the sell off of the Olympic village accommodation has uncovered further dodgy deals.
