On the even of one of the largest and potentially dangerous influx of economic migrants arrving from Rumania and Bulgaria we got a glimpse of the future following a few December storms. It is clear that already the public utility services cannot cope in emergency.
Threre appears to be no continency plans set for unusual weather. Airports close, trains are cancelled, electricity companies cannot be contacted, roads are cluttered with fallen trees and accident and emergency wards are creaking at the seams with the elderly waiting hours for attention.
Everywhere you look we have incompetence and an inability to cope. It is Christmas so they all run away and hide. In the meantime families have been left withour essential services and are just offered apologies and compensation. That compensation comes from us the, rest of the general public, who got away with it this time!
But why are so many houses being regularly flooded? The simple reason is that in their desperation to cope with the wave of economic migration they have been quietly building on flood plains. They are called 'flood plains' because they bloody flood!
My serious complaints are however, always reserved for the transport industry. The lack of planning, the lack of essential resources, the filth, the overcrowding, excessive prices and a total lack of empathy for the paying customer would be challenged by any politician with an ounce of integrity.
They continue to fatuously argue about HS2 and a third airport when what they should be doing is modernising our existing railways, cancelling franchises and cleaning up disgusting airports like Gatwick!

They Are Trying to Destroy the Country ...but Failing!
We the public must recognize that we have a parliament of charlatans who have been bought and paid for and who are hell bent on destroying the public services. We vote for them as individuals and suddenly discover that they are all part of a huge EU package.
Take my own MP... Nicky Morgan who I have often criticized because she is typical of this generation of our MPs. She supports the EU, she supports Common Purpose and she stood as a Conservative! Her opponent Andy Reed lost his seat on a false premise. She is an out and out socialist! She was hoist on us as an opposition candidate to Gordon Brown! Well frankly Andy Reed never stood a chance because even the British public realised that there was something seriously suspect about Gordon Brown.
So what has happened since? This Coalition Government is destroying us socially. People are still dying in hospitals, the schools are still failing so many of our children, the elderly are being abused too often. Far too many local councils are cutting back on vital services while we squander money on Foreign Aid.
Nicky Morgan does all the right things. My wife is amazed at how many letters that I receive from the House of Commons! Let me make it clear that Mrs 'Meldrew' is a slave to the mainstream media. If you tell her that the Royals and Margaret Thatcher were 'friends' of Jimmy Saville then she goes ballistic!
She would never contemplate that the Royals were possibly involved in the death of Princess Diana because it would not happen. She does not find it strange that the evidence from the 'Dunblane Massacre' was buried for 100 years! The parents of Madeleine McCann are innocent victims. Doctor David Kelly committed suicide? There is significant comment on the World Wide Web to 'hint' that many of our senior politicians are 'bad' people. In these modern times we have far too many 'mysteries' that cannot be explained away by officialdom.
If I talk to my wife about Justin Fashanu, Gary Speed and Stephen Milligan then I am being ridiculous! She is probably right but I cannot help myself.
Never mind.... the economy is improving and I suspect that is much to the chagrin of the EU. How can our economy be improving when every effort has been made to destroy it? How can the economy of the UK be improving when all the other countries in the EU (except Germany) are dying on their EU feet?
I sometimes amuse myself by imagining an Illuminati boardroom meeting when Cameron, Clegg, Osborne and Miliband are being carpetted... 'We told you fools to ruin the economy of the UK and it is growing. How is this happening?"
"We don't know because we are doing our best and the public hate us."
"Then you are just as stupid as the people think you are! We need a person with attitude who lies with a smile on his face. We need a servant who has proven that he hates the British. We will replace all of you with Ken McLusty because he KNOWS how to damage the economy and get away with it!"

So much Water and not a drop to Spare!
In my particular small area it actually rained/snowed all day. We had more rain yesterday than countries like Cyprus get in a year. You would really think that the companies licensed to distribute our water would be able to cope but half of England has had a hosepipe ban slapped on them because they refuse to address leaks which is costing us millions.
We are not a large country. In some terms we are tiny and yet in this era of high power technology our politicians have failed to address the need for water. They have failed to provide the public with a system which will transport water from the north of the country to the south. In February I drove back from Scotland for 200 miles with my windscreen wipers on 'fast' wipe. In the Lake District the water was tumbling down the hillsides. I well remember thinking then that it was probably a preclude to a hosepipe ban!
Now comes the news that the directors of the water companies who have failed the public have been awarded bonuses totalling millions of pounds! When is this nonsense going to cease? When will we elect a politician who will represent the public? Will we ever see Boris or Ken address the shortage of water and the profligacy of the water companies in their quest for votes in the run up to the election of the Mayor of London?
It is our own fault that we have no water in some areas. It is our own fault that a first class stamp in the UK now costs 60 pence. It is our own fault that we are the most ripped off public in Europe! You dear public keep voting for them and they keep giving you what you have voted for! If Boris Johnson, Ken Livingstone or Brian Paddick win the election for Mayor of London then I will despair but I will still be able to pay my way. Many who have a vote will vote Com/Dem/Lab and vote for their own ruination.
We could get rid of them all at a stroke...if we would stop just for a moment to think about why we were voting and what we were voting for!

Are they trying to stop the public travelling?
At my age it never ceases to amaze me how much the British public will accept from a morally bereft government. It does not matter what government we elect the assault on our standard of living continues. For example the cost of travel is escalating at an unsustainable rate. I have just legally repeated the annual robbery which allows me to tax and insure my car.
Somehow the government has quietly raised road tax from a few pounds to a few hundred pounds. Somehow the government has increased the MOT fee many times above the inflation rate. The scandal regarding 'whiplash' injuries and false claims which pass undefended by insurance companies continues unabated. The slightest 'knock' results in thousands of pounds in 'compensation' and a subsequent huge rise in premiums.
Then we have the spiralling cost of fuel which should be the responsibility of government but is used as a stick to beat the public. The tax on fuel is a disgrace to a modern society but the real disgrace is the lack of regulation on the fuel providers. If you allow them every advantage they will take it.
So let's get rid of our motor vehicle and travel by public transport! Well at one point in our history we had a wonderful rail network which served us all and for a few pence we could board a tram or trolley bus. Today? Well thanks to one Doctor Beeching in the nineteen sixties many of the local rail stations disappeared. Many rural areas do not have public transport because the routes are not profitable. The costs are becoming prohibitive. Rail fares increase annually to the point where annual season tickets must be taken into account before offers of employment can be accepted.
Quite often it is cheaper to fly than to travel by rail but then someone in government invented airport tax and 'green' fuel charges to ensure that you had to think twice before lifting off.
I have a relative who recently had to give up her job because the cost of travel had overcome her desire to work. She was better off staying at home! Now this really is a national scandal. There has been a huge debate recently about a 'cap' on benefits and some lunatic suggested that the national average for a working family was £26000! What planet are they on? £500 a week is not a cap it is a luxury! They are rewarding the feckless with a decent salary.
So the 'modernisers' continue their evil work and eventually only the rich will be allowed to travel. The working poor will be better off on benefits so they will stay at home. As ever we will sit in our homes watching the destruction of our nation and the loss of our values and shrug our shoulders. Meanwhile in Syria.....oh never mind!

Libya.. very interesting... but what about us?
The rebellion in the Arab countries seems to have stalled. The pictures from Libya are really graphic but we have yet to see the endgame. What I found amazing was the ferocity of the battle which took place in Libya away from the world's media. These people really had to fight for their freedom and were prepared to do so. The wrecked tanks, the destroyed airfields and the aftermath are shocking.
Personally I don't think that we in the comfort zone of western democracy can contemplate the suffering of the people in these situations and THAT is why the fighting is so ferocious. It has taught me a lesson. Events in this country will have to deteroriate so much more before the people will rebel against the EU (for example).
Perhaps that is the reason that the EU is so confident and the elite socialists can march forward with their jaundiced agenda. They dominate us but they know that we are not yet desperate for change. We are still in a kind of comfort zone which makes us grumble and complain but it is not sufficient to make us really object. One day it will!
In the meantime fuel prices escalate, food prices escalate, energy prices escalate and yet, can you believe, inflation is rock bottom. Nothing has risen to an extent that interest rates respond because when they do the bankers will have to reward savers. How these bankers hate British savers! How they hate pensioners who saved all their lives for a decent retirement and yet now they are being betrayed.
In the UK everyone is rewarded unless, of course, you have paid into the system for your whole life. Your pension is now at minimum wage level. Frankly you probably cannot face your energy bills. Well yes you can pay your energy bills but then you don't eat!
Nobody ever stands up and says 'Hang on the same people are being clobbered for every tax going!' We have a Political Class that gorges itself on our taxes, we have a Bonus Class that invents ways of paying themselves extravagant rewards and we have a Criminal/Immigration Class which is being given every advantage to claim money from the public purse.
What about us? What about the indigenous population that contributes all this money for the Political/Bonus Classs to squander. We elect all these MPs and yet somehow once they get elected we never get even one who complains about the inequality in our society! Not bloody one! Not a squeak, not a protest, not even a whisper that the pensioners are being ripped off! It is a scandal and one day I will take my zimmer frame to London!

Is this a real People's Revolt... and will it spread?
The news broadcasts reflect a chaotic situation in Egypt where the people have really rebelled against their government. Tens of thousands appear to have decided that enough is enough and they seem to have a point. The interesting point is that, unlike Tunisia, this is a people's revolt and not an Islamic rebellion. The people have taken to the streets because they are seriously brassed off.
They are equating their protests to the fall of the Berlin Wall and wow now the Arab population are seeking a freedom that they have never had. They want a stake in their own future...how decadent that the people want to replace a wickedly governing partty and now in Egypt the genie is out of the bottle.
Frankly it is the type of protest that we need here! We do not have a democratic protest but our people are deeply unhappy. I know because there is an undercurrent of dissatisfaction which one can hear in every household and every pub in the land. We Brits have that jokey irony which masks our anger. We are actually very pissed off with our political parties. They are not reflecting our desires. This is a very dangerous situation because if The Political Class ignore the electorate as they are doing now then they will one day pay the consequences.
At the moment we winge and complain but as yet the event has not happened that will tip the people over the edge. It will come! One day we will have an atrocity that our government cannot ignore and the people will be so outraged that they will march on London and throw the serving PM into the Thames! David Cameron or Ed Miliband or Nick Clegg please don't ignore the public because frankly this public rebellion is closer than you believe.

When will we get energy prices linked to pensions?
Pensioners are being totally ripped off by government after government. The state pension, government pensions and almost every other pension are falling way behind inflation because the index which calculates pension inflation ignores the energy increases.
Can anyone believe that? The most vulnerable in our society are being penalised to save the government money. Last year I was informed that my local government pension would not be increased to match inflation because the index being used to calculate our inflation did not take into account the most obvious problems.
This is ridiculous! The energy companies are hellbent on maximising their profits and there seems to be nobody regulating their activities. The government really must, for the sake of pensioners, limit the profiteering of the energy companies. At the moment they seem to be able to crank up prices willy nilly and nobody questions their reasoning.
Petrol/diesel prices rise day after day, so do gas prices and electricity and yet nobody in government seems to have the power to limit these increases. Perhaps it is time to nationalise this resource and bring everything onto a level playing field. We cannot keep penalising the most vulnerable to subsidise the most greedy!
