We live in precarious times. We are under attack from extreme weather which will always challenge our government. If they are competent and well organised then clearly we will have no complaints. If however they have been incompetent and profligate then bad weather will be the first indicator.
So if you have invited, allowed or demanded that millions of foreign immigrants invade your country without a second thought about how you will cope with them then surely housing will be a priority? So what did they do? They built on the flood plains, particularly in the very attractive south-west and now we have oodles of problems.
We also have a vital rail link to the south west which passes through Dawlish. This link is so important that it had to be protected. So who thought that such an important rail link would be destroyed by bloody weather? They are prepared to spend huge sums of money on a High Speed Railway but then fail to protect links that we depend on!
You would think that with thousands losing their homes and businesses that PM's Question Time would concentrate on solutions to the crisis but no they were more interested in the lack of women on the government's front bench. Ths sight of them going apoplexic at this non event was distasteful to say the least. Where is common sense when you need it?
We all know that this unusual weather is unpredictable but if a government is competent then we should fear nothing

Where are our Politicians leading us?
There is a rump of the Conservative Party who are trying to reign in their party leader, David Cameron, who seems determined to destroy so many of the basic beliefs upon which this country was founded.
I watched him this afternoon skilfully dismissing challenge after challenge from his backbenchers on the issue of the European Union. He is an astute parliamentarian. He knows the rules and he manipulates them. Consequently he dodges all the difficult questions by astute replies which deflect from the original question.
It leaves me and many of his own politicians with a sense of frustration. I have said many times that this country is under attack from our own politicians who are in thrall of billionaires who have sponsored them into Westmonster.
In the meantime the Tories are losing credibility and membership but actually does David Cameron care? He is in the 'modernisation' club so he cannot lose. If he loses the next election then the baton is passed to Ed Miliband who continues with 'modernisation'. They continue to promote 'modernisation' policies when the economy is actually in meltdown.
We have thousands in 'fuel' poverty and yet we give away our tax revenues to Africa. In this twenty first century under the auspicious of that paragon of trade virtue, the European Union, we have food banks in England. I ask you...food banks in England!!
Have you ever heard one politician in Westmonster question why, in this country, do our people require 'food banks'? It is a devastating indictment on the Political Class. Red Ed has never stood up at PM's Question Time and raised the plight of the 'working class' who require food banks to survive.
It does not concern him because most of the people who need food banks to survive do not vote. They are the poor, white, underclass and therefore do not have any sort of representation. The days of Keir Hardie have long gone as the millionaire front bench of the Labour party dismiss the concerns of the underclass.
So now we have fuel poverty and food banks? What else will they heap on the poor in order to pay homage to the bankers and the EU? They are despicable! When will we find a true leader?

Listen to the Public Mr Miliband!
So far, far too late Ed Miliband has decided that the British public was correct in opposing the mass immigration policies that his party, under the leadership of Messrs Blair and Brown, imposed on us all. He is now declaring that it was all an error of judgement, a mistake and something that he now regrets!
Too late you clown! We have been invaded by a motley foreign army and there are no records of who is here and who should be here. There is absolutely no record of the numbers who were allowed to invade these islands and take up residence using our education facilities, our NHS and our benefits system.
The people who should have been dealing with the problem...the Civil Service were conveniently politicised by Tony Blair and dumbed down by Gordon Brown. The Home Office actively collaborated in the invasion which changed the demography of our country forever as it was intended to do.
Ed Miliband was complicit in all of this so do not let him tell you that he now thinks it was a mistake. IT IS TOO LATE! Every nation benefits from the talents of other nations but no nation can recover from a mass, unchecked, unregistered invasion of anybody regardless of background as New Labour encouraged and insisted upon.
We now have prisons filled with criminals that we imported. We now have a huge burden upon our welfare and education systems. We now have a housing crisis which is unprecedented and unavoidable. These people have to sleep somewhere! My question is that why do some people in government insist that we ruin our national beauty to accommodate people who are only here to claim benefits.
I know that I can (will) be regarded as a grumpy old man but we grumpy old men have seen a thing or two. We have always paid our way and we have fought our wars and we have always been patriotic. That is the crux of my post.
Last night I watched Question Time on BBC and no matter how much I watched I could not help wondering how Ken Clarke can possibly claim to be a Conservative? Clearly Nick Clegg does not bat for Britain and the public know it so who actually bats for Britain?
If Ed Miliband is kosher, which of course I will never believe, then just perhaps he should listen to the public. He could learn a thing or two. But then if he acted on public opinion he would not be a politician! The Political Class is actively ruining our lives. But then that is my next post.....

The Political Class
Take Ken Clarke...he has been a constant visitor to the Bilderberger meetings which apparently decides the media/banking direction of the world. Ken Clarke is the only constant British attendant of the Bilderburger meetings since the early nineteen nineties. That means he has another agenda than that of being a British MP. He is utterly the wrong person to be the Justice Secretary in this troubled world that we face. His slavish acceptance of anything EU-ish is not what this country wants and so his attempts to weaken our Justice system even further has been met with astonishment!
Ken Clarke is an experienced politician. He is also an arrogant bully who knows exactly how secure he is because of the support of the EU and the Bilderberger meetings (like Dominick Strauss-Khan). Witness his view on rape!
Under NoLab we have witnessed the weakening of the Justice system in this country on all fronts. The tariff system which most of us don't agree with, the plea bargaining which most of us don't like is not justice. We should not leave it to lawyers/politicians to decide sentences. It should be left to judges (if we can trust them) to decide the severity of the crime.
Let us be quite clear...at the moment rapists (and generally most other criminals) receive sentences which are ludicrously inadequate. All Ken Clarke is doing is saving money because the money which should be available for our criminal justice system is disappearing into the EU and Foreign Aid. That is the problem.
They all support the EU because it is their backstop. They are redistributing our money all over the world but at home we cannot afford anything. The criminals live in a luxurious world which the rest of us cannot afford. NoLab created this ridiculously politically correct system which is woeful. We all know that difficult prison sentences deters criminals. It is human nature. Bang them up, treat them badly and they won't want to return!
Ken Clarke is currently on BBC Question Time and losing the fight against Melanie Phillips of the Daily Mail. In my opinion she has, in one passionate speech, exposed the politicians which include Jack Straw who was instrumantal in the nonsense that we have inherited today.
As usual the BBC invited a biased audience to support their left wing stance. 'QuestionTime' used to be an honest programme. Shami Chakrabati has just said that we are 'one of the wealthiest countries in the world' but here in Loughborough they have just closed the public toilets. It doesn't feel like it down here!

Foreign Aid
Is he really a Conservative?
At last a sign that there really is a Tory party in this country! The PM appears to be determined to increase Foreign Aid by billions despite the austerity cuts that he is imposing on his own people. How can he expect us to take him seriously when he can't get his priorities right? What alien concept drives him on to squander this money on 'dodgy' African and Asian regimes when we so desperately need it at home?
Now a letter sent to the PM by Defence Secretary Dr Liam Fox has been leaked to the press challenging the plans of the PM to enshrine this Aid in law! Madness, but typical of all those career politicians who insist on supporting the EU. Today a Daily Mail columnist, Ian Birrell, also attacks the Cameron plan to gift our money to a variety of African despots and to other countries who don't actually need it.
Finally a right wing perspective is being aired! The Conservative party should reign Cameron in and remind him of their pledges to this country. What happened to the British Bill of Rights, the bonfire of quangos or the capping of Town Hall salaries? Nothing is happening, everything is the same as when Blair was around. Nobody (apart from Nigel Farage) challenges the EU, the World Banks or the UN! At the last election all we did was swop Gordon Brown for David Cameron! The NoLab party swopped Gordon Brown for Ed Miliband but the same old Wednesday lunch time Punch and Judy show continues where the PM swats away questions like Gordon Brown and Tony Blair did before him. Amazingly they never seem to debate the important issues that concern the public.
Oh and of course the great British public have become so apathetic that one wonders what it will take to wake them from their slumber. Whenever it comes it will be years too late.

The Speaker
I can hardly credit the mess that is erupting in Parliament. The police entered Parliament without a warrant. They were given access by a former quite junior Civil Servant Jill Pays who was appointed by The Speaker himself. The reason that she got the job was that The Speaker could not get on with her predecessor. Her predecessor was a former Major General in the army who of course would command respect.
The Speaker was a former sheet metal worker from Glasgow who has been a class warrior all of his life. Ability, experience and tradition play little part if that person does not tug his forelock to the mandarins of the New Labour Project. They are a mean, spiteful, small minded crew so Major General Grant Peterkin was binned.
In his place The Speaker must have cast the net wide and far to avoid the traditional appointment of a military man as Sargeant-at-Arms. For some reason he came up with Jill Pays. I don't know what her credentials for this position were but one suspects that if you are trying to trash tradition then the best way is to appoint a woman to the position of Sargeant-at-Arms. Nice one Mick!
Now we come to the problem. He stood up today and announced that it was not him who invited the police into the House of Commons thus breaking centuries of tradition. It was the Sargeant-at-Arms and she allowed them in despite the fact that they did not have a search warrant.
Now apparently they should have told her that they didn't have a warrant and their presence in the building depended solely on her permission. She didn't ask and they didn't confess so the whole episode is that an MP's office was raided illegally.
As I have already blogged the appointment of Jill Pays was ignored by the Queen because she refused this overpromoted Civil Servant the traditional audience. The Queen is no fool so she must have smelt a rat and acted accordingly. It is utterly astonishing that this was not widely reported. Now the former sheet metal worker is blaming his appointed Sargeant-at-Arms! Is that just not typical?!
They cling to an authority they have long since lost and when their incompetence is exposed then they blame the very people they have appointed who The Queen herself apparently rejected. Jill Pays quite clearly did not understand her role and allowed police without a warrant to enter the office of an MP.
I am currently watching the abject performance of Harriet Harman on Newsnight and she is so embarrassed by this issue that she is refusing to confirm that she has full confidence in The Speaker and the Sargeant-at-Arms. She is the Leader of the House of Commons. What does that say about this government?
It is obvious that the appointment of an unqualified Sargeant-at-Arms has led to this fiasco but don't blame Jill Pays. If I got the chance I would probably take it (no I wouldn't)but I would swot up on my responsibilities. Major General Peterkin would have sorted it tout suite! His response would probably take the lines of 'No Way, get lost you chancers and come back with a warrant!'
Everyone who has ever achieved anything knows that your personal choice of staff is paramount to your survival and impacts on you. If you choose your staff purely on their ability to tug their forelocks then I am sorry you appoint people on the wrong premise.
Jill Pays was the wrong person. The Speaker should resign tomorrow because he appointed a patsy to a sigificant parliamentary role. Gordon Brown...the worst ever British Prime Minister...we don't even need a vote!

PM's Question Time
Last month I blogged that this weekly parliamentary farce was a waste of time because the current PM never answers a question. Today he was at it again and showed himself incapable of reacting like a human being. When asked by David Cameron why the leader of Haringey's Child Protection Unit was being allowed to investigate the failings of her own department he fell back on political rhetoric as he always does.
His inability to recognise the public revulsion about this case was never more evident. It is now quite clear that the most important thing to him is the maintenance of the New Labour Project. The growth of the governing political class must not be allowed to be derailed by the death and torture of a little boy. It does not matter that kids are being shot on the streets. It does not matter that the country is rapidly being bankrupted. The only thing that matters is that the New Labour Project moves forward.
I think that the person heading the Child Protection Unit concerned will no doubt be asked to resign. She will publically resign but after a short holiday she will be quietly employed somewhere else. This is how the New Labour Project works but don't tell the people of Glenrothes because they wouldn't believe you!
