Today the Daily Mail highlights the true cost of HS2. Typically it is outlandish for a project which we do not need. The real cost will be in the environmental disasters required to drive this monstrosity through our countryside.
It was never the best kept secret that this is the final leg of the EU high speed rail network and as such will have little political opposition from within Westmonster. It is however, so ill conceived and so costly that for any British politician to accept a plan that has no business merit whatsoever is almost akin to treason.
Many wildlife habitats, areas of natural beauty, and family homes will be destroyed just to accede to a mad socialist concept emanating from Brussels. What does it take for our politicians to ditch this crazy proposal? Why would they even consider it?
Well we are now more aware than ever that many of our elected politicians have access to the EU gravy train. That can be the only reason for this madness. It may have to be up to the public to stop it so those of us who are not directly affected by the upheavel should at all times support those that are. This is one project that should be stopped at all cost!
Can you actually believe these chancers? Of course we all know that it is not them demanding inflation busting salaries it is IPSA, the 'independent' body that allowed them to rack up amazing expense allowances. They can then all parade on the box claiming that this is the wrong time and that they do not deserve this pay increase but we all know that it is irrevocable.
They are snakes in the grass. They protest too much. They all know that it will happen and that they will all benefit when the public are suffering from their 'austerity' program. We have fat cats in Westmonster and we have fat cats in every town hall across the country.
They claim their basic pay is too low but then they conveniently forget about their generous expenses, their subsidised eating and drinking places and their other opportunities for additional lucrative appointments and contracts. To increase their basic salaries by so much in a time when we have increasing numbers of people relying on food banks for survival sends out a very selfish message.

I am watching Ed Balls on the show that the BBC still calls the 'Andrew Marr Show' and I am laughing out loud! This man is incorrigible! After years of blowing all the public money under Grodon Brown he now says that the Tory austerity policy is correct. He goes even further because he is trying to blame the Coalition for the state of the country's finances!
He is being skewered by Sophie Rayworth who is valiantly trying to get some sort of future policy out of him. All he will admit is that he will continue the Osborne policy of cutting public spending. Ha! In other words the 'Political Class' will continue 'troughing' and the public will continue to lose services. Vote Labour!
Every Sunday morning the BBC parades the usual subjects but even by their standards this morning has been dismal. Baroness Helena Kennedy is a well known, well connected, socialist millionaire and she shared a sofa wih shameless self publicist Russell Brand! What can this clown contribute to serious debate?
Nothing changes! Just pay the license fee and we will treat you as idiots. Actually Sophie Rayworth is much better than Andrew Marr and I would like to see her keep the job but please BBC bring on some credible and sensible contributors. Of all the mainstream frontline politicians only Nigel Farage has the ability to enthuse because he is the only one on the side of the patriot.
I cannot understand how our useless politicians can stand back and allow scandal after scandal to engulf the NHS! Clearly the Chief Executive, Sir David Nicholson, should have been replaced months ago and in my opinion he should actually have been prosecuted following the debacle at Mid Staffs.
Today he faces parliamentary committees and is allowed to bluster and bluff his way through the procedure apparently without any of them laying a glove on him. The most recent exploit of incompetence involves a 'flawed analysis of incomplete proposals' concerning the Children's Heart Surgeries. More millions wasted following the laughable attempt at a national computer system and then the millions wasted at trying to shut people up.
The NHS is rapidly becoming an omnishambles at management level. How the staff can work under these buffoons beats me and how many more millions will be poured down the drain before Jeremy Hunt decides to sack the senior officers responsible for this lack of financial acumen.
I sometimes think that there will be a prize awarded for the people who can waste most taxpayer's money. It seems to be happening everywhere and nobody seems to care!
A lot has been discussed about our ailing welfare system. We all know that we have an army of scroungers who benefit from public money when they should be seeking work. This abysmal system has been abused for years and under the Labour party it was clearly encouraged. It bought them votes and is one of the many reasons that I despise their pathetic policies.
Step forward Barry Rogerson, a 45 year old receiver of disability allowance from Morpeth. This disabled man was photographed as a masked man punching a police horse in a riot which followed the defeat of Newcastle by Sunderland in a recent football match.
He is quoted as saying that he had drunk five pints of beer prior to 'accidentally' stumbling into the situation. He was masked because he had toothache! So let us examine his explanation!
He had drunk at least five pints (£15). He had attended the game (at least £30). He had bought a replica shirt (what... you tell me... £35) and he must have travelled from Morpeth to Newcastle perhaps( another £10?) so this unemployed 'animal lover' who had tooth ache which was not bad enough to prevent him from attending a football match spent close to £100 pounds of his disability benefit and accidentally ended up punching a police horse!
I have a dear friend who is genuinely disabled and is concerned about the changes to her allowance. This total twat from Morpeth should have his allowance cancelled immediately. My problem is how did he get it in the first place? That can probably be explained by the fact that he lives in the socialist state of 'Geordieland' where
they are all entitled to state money as long as they continue to vote bloody Labour!
We have had almost three years of a Coalition government led by a Conservative Prime Minister and Barry Rogerson can still afford to drink himself silly and riot in Newcastle! When will this nonsense change? When will our government agencies tighten up this system? How can Barry Rogerson (with his tooth ache) overcome his disability so that he can ward off a fully trained police horse?

The slump of our country under the auspices of pitifully poor politicians and the European Union continues unabated. I well remember the emphasis that our abject Chancellor placed on our prestigious 'AAA' credit rating but inevitably our economy is in such tatters that we cannot be trusted anymore.
No matter, the madness will continue. The madness of pouring billions into the EU every year and the billions being poured into the continent of Africa where, despite this, evidence of undernourished children is still emerging.
In the NHS alone millions have been spent keeping people quiet about the astonishing neglect in many of the wards. There must be a huge slush fund somewhere in the treasury that can be used to hide government embarrassment.
I will repeat ad nauseum that while our corrupt and self serving mainstream politicians pay homage to a foreign power (the EU) which refuses to be audited then our financial problems will continue. You see it is deliberate. The EU is an immense fraud being perpetrated on the people of Europe to bring down our financial power and our freedom.
Listen to Aaron Russo on Youtube (there is a lot of material on him). Mr Russo passed away a couple of years ago but before he did he opened the eyes of many people. If you listen to him then everything suddenly begins to make sense. Who created the EU? Who selected the people who have never been elected but who run it? What happens to the money we pay in? Much of it comes directly back into the back pockets of the quangos and the local politicians who ensure it remains in place. It is a racket of immense proportions.
Mr Russo will open your eyes. Just remember almost all of our front line politicians are involved and that is why our money is disappearing at an alarming rate!
Not long to go now before the good citizens of Eastleigh get the latest opportunity to show an independence of spirit and snub the mainstream Political Class. Let's face it if you want a continuation of the domination by the Banking Class, if you want politicians to ignore the collapsing economy or if you want a future where your children cannot find a job then just vote Con/Lab/Lib because there is not any difference between them. They may argue semantics but when push comes down to shove they all pay homage to the EU.
That is not the only issue so let us examine the facts. They all support the war in Afghanistan, they all support the burgeoning Welfare State, they all agree on Foreign Aid, they all want a continuation of immigration, they all continually overspend, they all want gun control and they all ignore Magna Carta. In addition they love gagging orders and love to bury the facts of any embarrassing incident that the mainstream media cannot cover up.
They will even support the head of the NHS even though there is damning evidence that his policies have led to an astounding level of neglect in some of our hospitals. There can be no excuse for him not resigning and yet our PM supports him. This is a level of insanity that I cannot even contemplate!
So good citizens of Eastleigh the facts are there before you. YOU have an opportunity to make a difference. You can begin a rebellion against the very people who are causing us misery. I believe that if UKIP get one candidate into Westmonster others will follow because the timid electorate who are force fed garbage through the media may just realise that voting UKIP is not a wasted vote it is actually the only vote that will really count!
Today I read a report that, despite all the so called austerity measures, our ridiculous government is borrowing more and more to give to the EU and other foreign powers all over the world. They are once again cutting our military to the bone and yet will not contemplate cutting back on foreign aid.
They came to power complaining that the Labour government had left the country is the worst financial mess in history. So what do they do? They continue to ruin the economy to such an extent that the country will is threatened with the loss of its AAA credit rating.
This has already happened to most of the countries under the umbrella of the EU and still our mainstream politicians refuse to accept the inevitable. We cannot keep borrowing money so that we can give it away. The EU is a corrupt, wasteful, organisation robbing all its members blind so all I can conclude is that The Coalition is deliberately following on from Labour and will bankrupt us all in the end!
Do not be fooled! The figures are astronomical and unless they change direction austerity is not enough. They need a complete change of direction
Watching George Osborne yesterday and later Ed Balls I was minded what a huge game our politicians are playing out on behalf of the masters that they serve. They appear to be absolutely determined to strip the public of wealth.
We had thirteen years of 'New Labour' during which time they involved us in two long term wars, sold off our gold reserves and borrowed so much from the Rothschild Central Banks that, by the time they left office, the country was broke! That is to say not quite because the markets still have confidence in our bonds! No wonder because when you can tap the public at every opportunity you will never run short of funds.
The Coalition have followed on from 'New Labour' and have continued to rob the indigenous population of their wealth. We still have mass immigration and no hint of a policy to restrict it. Don't believe the propaganda because the EU are determined that we become the dumping ground for the dregs of their domain.
People have descended on this island from probably every country in the world. They have entered legally and illegally and yet the UK Border Force or the Home Office seems to be incapable of accounting for them. This has put an enormous strain on Education, Housing, the NHS and the Prison Service. The worst of it all is that so many can almost instantly claim benefits. Who decided this? Who voted for it?
I don't need to mention our contribution to the EU or our Foreign Aid commitment because the first thing Davis Cameron mentioned on taking office was his ring fencing of 'Foreign Aid' just before he reneged on his promise of a referendum on the EU. Did he tell us that before he 'shared' the election. I did not vote for Nick Clegg and I would rather slit my throat than support him.
So now our 'Planning Minister', Nick Boles (remember him), wants to build on Green Space despite the fact that there are 'Houses to Let' in every city in the land. What planet is he on? I'm afraid he is on planet 'Bilderberger' but most of us Brits still believe in independence and democracy. We are still free thinkers but not for so much longer if our politicians have their way.
In the meantime my car tax has now reached £250 per annum and the price of my whisky has gone into orbit. Every utility imaginable has been increased as have fuel prices, train tickets and Council Tax. The politicians are stripping us of wealth at every conceivable opportunity.
I planned my old age many years ago. I should have just gone on the dole. Every year I am being slaughtered by tax because the tax authorities ignore Starbucks, Google and Amazon but jump on me at every opportunity! We are systematically being stripped of our wealth and it is being distributed to the new incomers. We are likely to be stripped of our countryside for the benefit of the new incomers.
I don't know anyone who voted for mass immigration. I don't know anyone who voted for anything other than a trading market in Europe. I don't know anyone who votes for increases in taxation. I don't know why we have over 600 MPs when most decisions that affect the country are made by unelected commissioners in Brussels. I do know that the Political Class is destroying the Paying Class!
Today we had the same old, same old, Andrew Marr Show when a long list of socialist sympathisers were, once again, paraded to air their prejudices when clearly people are bored with the whole issue. In amongst them, a lamb to the slaughter, was a Tory Chancellor of the Exchequer, but not before Marr had his usual spat with Ed Balls. It is all so contrived that frankly it is a waste of air space.
Then on came George Osborne spouting the same old claptrap. Amazingly the austerity plan that he has personally authorised may have to last longer than he anticipated! Big deal! Big surprise! The billions they pour down the drain on their EU supporting policies cannot be undone but...wait for it...we can tax more people more often!
When will this bunch of EU supporting Politicians listen to to what the public want? Clearly it will not happen and so the electorate will once again give up on them. That is what they want! They want you not to vote. They thrive on their 15% vote because they know that they can get their core supporters out to keep them in power. These are the very people who are government employees and profit from the non vote.
I will continue to campaign because you should not spoil your ballot, you should not refuse to vote because this is what they want. You should vote against Con/Lab/Lib. They are all against the public. I do not exonerate the Right Wing Tories because if they were honest they would defect from a party that they can no longer support.
People like Bill Cash clearly does not agree with his leadership but he cannot divorce himself from the gravy train! Neither can David Davis both are dishonest men.
Until some of them find a conscience then we are stuck with a corrupt system. What we need is a major defection to UKIP from the Cameron led Tories and until we get it things will remain the same and the so called 'eurosceptics' will continue to enjoy their subsidised lifestyle without any conviction.

I see that they are all back. The euphoria of the Olympics will soon evaporate once the 'Political Class' begin to appear on our screens once again. Surprise, surprise today we had some young, photogenic females lecturing us all on why the economy is nosediving into the dirt! As if we didn't know...the problem is that they don't know because they have accepted the basic principle that we can borrow unlimited amounts just to keep them in power.
None of our political parties have grasped the basics that borrowing money cannot raise the country out of the mire. If the taxes that the government collect, which are gargantuan, cannot meet the bills then the bills must be reduced. We can no longer afford the ambitions of our politicians.
It is no good parading Chloe Smith (apparently a Treasury Minister) on the TV screens claiming that we have no other options than to continue on the path to disaster. We do have options it is just that they cannot bear to use them. To start with we cannot afford our contributions to the European Union. We are hemorrhaging almost £50 million a day on this undemocratic disaster which gives us, the British public, very little. It does prop up all the quangos which enforce European Law but we could do without it.
Then we have Foreign Aid which I have often posted is a national scandal. We are somehow committed to foreign aid for so many countries. I believe that it is a bribe to retain a foothold on world power. It should be slashed at a stroke so that only emergency aid is considered.
I believe that these two expenditures would probably put us well into the black. If we refused to cooperate with the EU and denied the African and Asian communities of their kick backs the British people would have a wonderful life! We could afford anything. We could afford excellent schools and more importantly care for the elderly. Nothing would be unaffordable so ...and here is the big question...why are our politicians so keen to deny the public by misusing our tax revenue?
The answer is that the politicians who inhabit Westmonster are by and large paid to deny the British people of a decent standard of living. They are all in the same club. That is why we never hear common sense politics. That is why they will not give us a referendum on the EU. That is why David Cameron 'ringfenced' international aid as a priority!
If you believe that the British economy is on a downward spiral then you should not be surprised. The British people are working harder than any other country to afford their life style. We could, at a stroke, repair our economy but the politicians have their little game to play out. They all appear on TV with gravitas but none of them will even consider basic home economics! It is a very unfunny joke!
Yesterday evening they were arguing on Newsnight that we cannot pay our bills and that the state is too large! Bloody hell of course the State is too large! The Welfare Bill is enormous but that welfare bill has been created by a government of all the parties...that encouraged young, uneducated, girls to have babies just to improve their social status and young, fit, men to receive money and then stay at home and not apply for jobs. None of the political parties have ever managed to turn the clock back even though the public disagree with them. If we ever want to change any of this then we will have to change our politicians.
If we don't change our politicians our lives will always continue along the same lines. It is up to us and if we don't then we only have ourselves to blame. It would be nice to have a government with a sense of decency and a basic knowledge of home economics.
This morning I watched Treasury Secretary, Danny Alexander, squirming on the BBC news programme when he was grilled by presenter Charlie Stayt. He gave the impression of a man staring into headlights knowing that his world was about to collapse. He stuttered and stammered and refused to address questions or even profess an opinion. It was the performance of a condemned man, someone who is hiding a lot of information he does not want the public to know.
Surely the Bank of England could see what was happening with regard to the Barclay's fraud? But then in their own way are they not complicit in a fraud to keep interest rates so low that savers are being penalised? Are they not printing money using the term 'quantitive easing' to ensure that interest rates remain low? Is this not a dangerous practice and a fraudulent deception?
I fear that this lack of integrity by a few politicians and bankers will eventually impact on us all. Our financial industry could be much closer to the brink than most of us know. It will only stop when someone is jailed and made to repay the bonuses that they have earned during the period of malpractice.
The public are angry. We don't need more lengthy, expensive enquiries where the guilty can hide behind a curtain of civility. We want fraudsters in the dock being pilloried by sharp tongued barristers. We want to see them suffer and before this story breaks even further I will bet now that the guilty will include as many politicians as it does bankers.
Everywhere we look we stumble upon corruption. Last night Channel Four took a murky peep behind the scenes of the Olympics where overinflated prices and dirty accommodation were highlighted. There seems at present a total absence of integrity in modern Britain and that stems from the top.
There are reports that the people are withdrawing their money from the banks in Greece and Spain in droves. Clearly trust in the Central Banks is diminishing but the most extraordinary story of the week is the return of the Irish Punt.
People in the small County Monaghan town of Clones, once the home of boxing legend Barry McGuigan, have reintroduced the Irish punt in the hope that it will boost the local economy. They took the idea from the town in Spain which reintroduced the peseta locally.
Recently I suggested that if things really got bad we may be reduced to barter but perhaps this is an alternative method of dispensing with the euro without the assistance of the politicians. If Clones can do it then I reckon others might just follow suit. Are people really taking back control of their lives?

During the time that I have been writing this blog I have heard from many interesting people and have ventured down many avenues of discovery. Time after time however, I arrive at the same conclusion that the modern world is under a huge malign influence. It has led me to the conclusion that I cannot trust any of the leading modern figureheads. Most of them have created a huge governmental apparatus protected by the police and as such have changed almost every western democracy into police states largely akin to East Germany.
At present almost every western European country and the United States are mired in unprecedented debt. This debt is threatening to destroy entire countries but how has it been created? Who is lending these countries unspeakable sums which in some cases will never be paid back.
On every occasion the trail leads back to the Rothschild banking empire. It is very difficult to pin down the scale of the problem but I read recently that only three countries in the world, North Korea, Iran and Cuba are not dependent on a Rothschild Central Bank. Up until 9/11 there were more which included Libya, Afghanistan, Syria, Sudan and Iraq. Can you see where this is leading?
On 23 August 2011 I speculated on why Colonel Gadaffi had become a target for The Powers That Be. I have no insider knowledge and I have no friends in politics but it seemed pretty obvious why the leader of Libya was following Saddam Hussein. Neither of them would join the club.
In 2008 Iceland faced a huge financial crisis caused by corrupt banking practice and poor government. At the time they were on the verge of applying for membership of the EU. The Icelanders have reacted superbly and done what all countries should do. They replaced their government with 'real people', arrested the bankers and organised a repayment scheme to debtors. On the surface it appears that they have rejected the Rothschild approach to finance and elected an impartial government committed to their people. They are surviving without the EU which according to most of our mainstream politicians is not possible!
Perhaps some of our western politicians should realise that historically borrowing from the Rothschild empire is not a good idea. Perhaps we should invent a new game in town and try to rub along without their 'assistance'. First however we must find people who are prepared not to be corrupted.
Everyday I learn more and everyday I fear for the future of my grandchildren. It would appear that, thanks to a nefarious collection of bankers and politicians, the financial system that we all depend upon is being wrecked from within. Major economies are systematically having their credit rating down graded because the financiers fear that the individual countries cannot meet their debts.
Recently France went down the tubes ( I won't even talk about Portugal, Italy, Greece and Spain) but at least we always have the good old USA to prop up the western economies with their sound dollar...but do we?
I have just read an article which gave me the 'heebie jeebies' because it confirms the rumours that 'Uncle Sam' has been ruined by four years of Barack Obama and his mates in exactly the same way that Gordon Brown ruined the UK! Our PM always talks about the importance of our triple 'A' credit rating which is so important because it ensures that the financiers believe that our economy is stable and we can pay back our debts.
Now comes the news that the United States has lost their AAA rating. That should be a huge story in the mainstream media but did you know? It gets worse because the USA lost it's AAA rating in July 2011 and the recent downgrading was from AA+ to AA!! Can you imagine that the United States is financially in the same state as Greece!!!
In reality, thanks to the policies and agenda of Barack Obama and his cohorts, the United States is skint. Read the report ....they are broke! So what does that mean for the world? When the USA cannot keep ahead of the arms race then someone will challenge them. That could lead to a World War.
I fear the world is in a parlous state. There is little doubt that there has been a concerted effort from on high to rebalance the scales and reduce the 'comfort' of western European society. We have been invaded, our culture has been denigrated, our economy wrecked and our military power reduced. It is so intentional and obvious but at the same time they have also dumbed down education and cushioned the 'unwashed' from reality.
The 'people' are being protected but the 'educated' are being attacked and destroyed. We 'the educated' do not have too many opportunities left to vote 'them' out of power. It may already be too late. Our next opportunity will be at the May local elections. It could be the last! One thing is for certain they are not telling us the truth. They dare not tell us the truth. The truth is extremely scary!
I do not want to believe the article that I am about to post on here. I know nothing about the author or his origins but I only know that so much of it has the ring of truth. We are daily getting warnings from so many quarters that the bankers and the corporatocracies have become so greedy that they have 'corpsed' the financial system which we all have trust in.
The major western governments are so desperate to retain their hold on power that they are wasting billions on war and sacrificing thousands of lives. Our financial system is in disarray because we are printing money to meet our commitments. If we do not find another way of balancing the books then what is left? What can we trust? Who can we trust?
If you are a seriously minded individual read this article and then think about what is going on. We all know that it cannot continue in the same vein. It is crazy economics to allow the bankers to grant themselves these enormous bonuses. It is crazy economics to allow Town Hall fat cats their inflated salaries. It is crazy economics to give away a nation's wealth to countries who do not deserve or need it. It is crazy economics to grant millions every day to an unelected political union that the people do not want.
I reckon we have very little time left to get rid of the Political Class who have corrupted the country. If we don't turn the tide then we will face the consequences. The Britain today is unrecognisable from the Britain that I grew up in. They are wrong and we are right so please use your vote wisely in the forthcoming local elections. Please do not endorse their nonsense!
Tonight on Newsnight two clowns clashed! What a pair of total prats! These are the two people actually standing for the prestigious position of Lord Mayor of London and they have been allowed by the BBC to dominate the debate on the forthcoming election.
If this is what politics has become frankly we need a change. They are just scoring petty political points from each other. Neither cares a jot for the 'Londoner' they believe that they are already just a single issue. It is just Boris against Ken...nobody else matters. You Londoners do not have a choice between the clowns. It is just Boris against Ken with a little distraction from Brian Paddock, a sometime Liberal gay policeman who believes that he matters.
You 'Londoners' however also have an opportunity to follow up from Bradford West. You also have candidates from UKIP, the Greens, the BNP and an Independent. You 'Londoners' could send a message to the western world. You could overturn the political platform. You may only have this one opportunity to tell Boris and Ken that their day of duplicity is done.
This is a REAL opportunity for the electorate to send a message to the Political Class. Once again I beseech you to ignore Ken/Boris/Brian and cast your vote elsewhere. They are all self obsessed twats. Please protest when the day arises. Look at the policies (or lack of them) and make your choice BUT please do not forget that all the mainstream parties have consistently lied to you.
We must make this election count. You must acknowledge that these two clowns will always lie to you. They are abject mainstream politicians who care not for you and they have been allowed to dominate the BBC engineered debate. It beggars belief but the population of London largely mirrors that of Bradford.
The candidates are purely a joke! Unfortunately there is not a George Galloway standing in London.
Did anyone else notice the front rank grinning at the Queen's Speech on the occasion of her Diamond Anniversary? It was a representation of the 'modernisation' of our country. They were all supposed to be political opponents but they so comfortable in each other's company because they all know that they are all in the same club.
They are 'modernisers' and unfortunately 'The Queen' is in the same club. So who was in the front rank of 'modernisation'. Can you believe this crowd? Gordon and Sarah Brown, Sally Bercow, Nick Clegg, Harriet Harman, Tony Blair, Ed Miliband and Mr Slippery (sorry David Cameron).
There they all were, probably a larger collection of well.... how can I describe their qualities ... they do not bat for Britain...they do not want to maintain our national independence...they care not about the indigenous public ... and finally they care not about this country. There used to be an old fashioned world for them but how did the Royal Family get drawn into this? The Windsor Family have for decades been sustained by the public and yet suddenly they are entertaining 'modernisation'. Why?
They had it all but the history of our so called Royal Family is littered with suspicion. I do not have to remind people of their dodgy history where Edward and 'Bertie' were concerned. Then we had the exploits of Princess Margaret. And finally we had the 'murder' of Princess Diana and yet still the British revere this family. Are we really surprised that on her so called Diamond Jubilee speech in Westmonster she had such a line up of political villains on the front row? Please think about it folks!
In this age of austerity have you noticed how it never applies to the 'modernisers'? In an age when we, the public, cannot afford public toilets or libraries the 'modernisers' can afford high speed railways, another London airport, an Olympics, a royal yacht and a huge bail out of the euro?
It is ridiculous! They never stop spending taxpayer's money. They cannot understand that we cannot afford their ambition. In my household I have a budget. I know what I can afford. At the moment I can afford everything that I pay for but if the going gets tough then what do I cut? First on the agenda would be Sky TV... it is a luxury that I love but when the going gets tough it would get chopped and so in government terms that could mean stopping our contributions to the European Union because it is an expensive luxury that we can't afford.
Then we have savings. Today we can still save for our future but if inflation continues to rise we would have to cut back. In government terms it means that we cannot afford the lavish Foreign Aid that we dispense to countries with better growth than ourselves. It is just common sense.
I will never understand why all our international commitments cost we, the British, so much money. Four French soldiers get killed in Afghanistan and immediately Sarkozy threatens to withdraw the French contingent. Four!? We have been in Afghanistan longer than the Second World War. The cost in manpower has been horrific and nobody has yet been able to explain why we, an island nation, can have our security threatened by marauding Afghans! The official excuse is pathetic so there must be another reason for so much loss of life. The cost is also horrific and so I must just concede that we are being fleeced.
Do you understand what I am saying? We do not need to beg or borrow our way out of debt. We just cut our cloth to what we can afford. I do not need SKY TVor savings to survive. I can cut so much if I have to and so can the government. They can cut so much frivolous spending, starting with their own bar and dining facility, but then they choose not to and you still vote for them! It is still time to refuse to vote ConDemLab. Don't give them your approval. They are cheating on you but when will you get the message?
My daughter has just bought me a book by an economist called John Perkins entitled 'Hoodwinked'. I am about 10 pages into it and the language is somewhat confusing but the message is already filtering into my brain.
Governments across the world have been 'hoodwinked' by massive corporations to forget their tried and tested financial regulations and invest in risky projects. It has resulted in the massive debts run up by so many countries across the world.
Parliament and the Financial Services Agency watched as Gordon Brown and his cohorts (almost?) wrecked one of the largest economies in the world. We, the public, also watch as our politicians continually launch projects which will cost the country billions. In every city, town and village we watch helplessly as services are cut to follow the austerity programme imposed upon us by politicians who to this day enjoy their subsidised life in Westmonster.
In the meantime as one failed project after another eats into our economy they continue to invest in monstrous white elephants. They will not abandon foreign aid to countries far better placed financially than we are, our contribution to the EU is ridiculous, we are fighting an unwinnable war in Afghanistan, bombing Libya cost us billions, then the over budget Olympics and now a project (HS2) costed at £32 billion and already forecast to double that.
It will never stop until we cut our ties to the EU. It will never stop until we defeat the 'modernisers', those servants of the EU who infect every major political party. I am beginning to sound like a cracked record but there is a simple reason that HS2 should be cancelled. WE cannot afford it! There are also a hundred other reasons to cancel it but the bottom line is we cannot afford it. This government, despite all of the PM's rhetoric, is still borrowing billions every month. It must cease.
Before people lose their homes, their land, the countryside, nature reserves and our sanity we the public must halt this madness. Somehow we must get the message to the politicians that we have had enough. If we don't then ruination is the only possible outcome.
