Cameron and Hague!

Now I thought that the House of Commons had an often used tradition that if the principle people behind an ill advised proposal lost the vote then they should in all decency resign? While I was away enjoying the sun kissed beaches of the Isle of Harris David Cameron and William Hague lost the most important proposal to have gone through parliament since the days of 'Butcher' Blair!

Somehow the country mustered up sufficient MPs to reject intervention in Syria.  The proposal by the PM and the Foreign Secretary was clearly flawed and surely we should now inquire how they came to their conclusions?

The British people are sick of war! We have been constantly at war ever since Blair came into power and yet Cameron and Hague want more!  What is driving them on? Who is driving them on?

President Putin has challenged the UK and the USA to produce their evidence of chemical attacks on the Syrian people by the Assad regime to the UN. It will never happen! I would almost guarantee that there is NO evidence.  So why are these powerful politicians insisting, without any concrete evidence, (remember Blair's WMD farce) to take this nation into yet another war?

Parliament has rejected the motion by Cameron and Hague to take this country to war. SURELY, even in this day and age, that means resignation? Why have they not resigned? How can they remain in place when their catastrophic platform, not endorsed by the British public, has been rejected?

The public must now ask what is driving our leading politicians into a position that they cannot defend? They have paraded for months in the mainstream media proclaiming a lie as a certainty when as far as I can see there is no evidence and yet they recall Parliament to vote on an unsubstantiated issue.  They are becoming increasingly more desperate to unseat Assad but they know that the Syrian President has some serious weaponry and will probably bite back.

I am becoming increasingly impressed by the stance of Andrew Bridgen MP who is a true Conservative.  He opposes almost everything that Cameron supports. He seems to intuitively know that David Cameron has lost the plot and is following orders from someone other than the British public.

The British have rejected the lies so the French have stepped up to the plate.  That is how it should be in this invidious attempt to unseat yet another Middle Eastern leader. This is not our problem and we should cease allowing the British Army to be used as a mercenary force for any passing banker to call upon.

Turkey and Syria...who is pulling the Strings?

In one week from now my wife and I will be setting off on a cruise to the Eastern Mediterranean. It has long been planned to visit countries which we have previously never experienced. They include Sicily, Egypt, Jordan, Israel and Turkey. We are really looking forward to traversing the Suez Canal but suddenly I am beginning to wonder if it will happen?

Today Turkish jets forced a Syrian civilian flight flying from Moscow to Damascus down onto their territorial soil. They illegally intercepted this flight which is a direct challenge to Moscow. Who is escalating this conflict? Who is widening the Syrian scenario?

I think that we all know by now who the aggressors are because they have been causing wars for centuries. It is always the same scenario. The 'people' suddenly rebel against a government (usually 'a dictator') who refuses to allow a 'Central' bank to invade their country. This revolution is supported by every media outlet and every prominent politician that can influence western public opinion.

The rebels are then armed and supported by NATO troops who ensure that the 'dictator' is removed.  Simple innit! Unfortunately  the Russian and the Chinese governments don't appear to agree with this action. So we seem to have a scenario where the Americans and Israelis are squaring up to the Russians and Chinese. 

That is really unhealthy. I cannot countenance a situation where someone, somewhere, in Turkey decides that it is a good idea to intercept a civilian flight from Moscow and force it down unless they are trying to escalate a conflict.

Fasten your seatbelts folks! 

Chilcot - 'Blair was to blame'....what now?

It would appear that the findings of the Chilcot Inquiry into the Iraq War are being leaked to the mainstream media. Despite my misgivings about these leaks it is being reported that Chilcot did not believe Blair's version of events (surprised?). Most people who have reviewed the events which took us to this illegal war have come to the same conclusion.


So what happens now? What happens when the Chilcot Report is actually published? It appears that there is a case for accusations of war crimes but is that how it works? Well I will bet that somewhere in this morass a clause will exist which states that, even though the Chilcot Inquiry has been very valuable (and cost a lot of money), it has no legal standing and therefore further legal proceedings cannot proceed.


You see this is how they work! I think that most of the public now believe that Blair was a wrong 'un. Alright he conned me as well back in 1996 (when we were desperate to get rid of the Tories) but I soon realised that he was not working for the best interests of Britain. In fact I got the impression that the government of the day was actively working against British interests as the world walked through our porous borders.


It was clear that Blair had made some kind of pact with George Bush and that he became increasingly desperate to fulfill that pact to such an extent that Alistair Campbell apparently 'adjusted' the Intelligence reports. Now during my time with the military I had some interest in missiles and the thought that Iraq had a missile which could threaten us in 45 minutes was ludicrous!


There appears to be little doubt that Tony Blair has serious questions to answer in a court of law where he would be on oath (I suspect that wouldn't matter too much) but where he would be subject to the laws on perjury. In fact I cannot think of anyone that I would rather see facing a judge and that is precisely the reason that it will never happen!

The Chilcott Enquiry

The Chilcott Enquiry is dragging on and on and is now becoming irrelevant. Whenever I have seen the enquiry in 'action' it is so very civilized and non threatening. It has interviewed Tony Blair and Alistair Campbell, who frankly are two or the most experienced manipulators in our recent political history, and totally failed to pin them down on crucial matters which are in the public domain.

I don't think there is anyone who has considered the evidence who does not believe that both have cases to answer regarding the manipulation of intelligence which led to the Iraq War. Now an E-Mail sent to the enquiry by Major General Michael Laurie has been released and he claims that Blair and Campbell lied to the Enquiry. If that is true Sir John Chilcott surely must ask for proof of this accusation and get them both back again to answer the charges. It has gone on far too long.

Apparently Chilcott has delayed the publication of his findings until the summer giving himself time to contact those who he intends to 'criticise'. I think most people would think that this is far too mild given the scale of the charges.

Will there be Justice for Professor David Kelly?

There are rumours in the mainstream media that the coalition is planning an enquiry into the death of the weapons inspector Professor David Kelly. His death was pronounced as suicide by one Lord Hutton despite grave doubts about his judgement and some even suggesting that the method of his suicide was almost impossible.

Norman Baker MP has written a book casting great scepticism about the death and venturing to suggest that it was murder. A group of medical people have been trying to reexamine the official documents that Lord Hutton incredibly mothballed for seventy years (presumably so that nobody could challenge his verdict!),

In amongst the many foul deeds perpetrated by the Blair/Campbell government I still believe that this was the nadir. They hounded this public servant unmercifully until he lost his life. The point is how did he lose it? They certainly wanted to shut him up because he was the one man who had the information that Blair/Bush did not want leaked into the public domain. If what he had told the journalist Andrew Gilligan was true then the Blair case for war was irrevocably damaged.

Subsequently we all now know how low Blair can actually sink but back then it was difficult to believe that A British Prime Minister would behave like a treacherous backstabber. I therefore can only hope that this whitewash of an enquiry will be replayed and this time a decent and honourable person will peruse the evidence and return some honour to David Kelly and his family.

Perhaps then we can then pursue anyone found guilty of a cover up and bring them to justice. I still cannot believe that Blair has so far escaped charges of being a war criminal. I still remember his speeches in the House of Commons urging us to war knowing all the time that the evidence was flawed and that he was lying to Parliament. When you are up to your neck that deep then in desperation you will sanction any crime imaginable.

Well was that it...?

The Chillout enquiry had the opportunity today to grill an ex-PM who perpetrated a huge fraud on the British people and failed to hold him to account. This enquiry in my eyes lost all credibility today because at long last they brought this fraudster before them and then patted him on the head and allowed him off the hook.

Make no mistake Blair was sh*tting himself and yet nobody could land the fatal blow. This is all too gentlemanly, it is all too civil, it is all too British and yet we are dealing with someone responsible for the deaths of thousands of people without any kind of legal or political mandate. Tony Blair threw our soldiers into a major conflict on a personal whim. He bombed the hell out of a civil population (many of whom hated Saddam Hussein) because he alone thought it was a good idea.

He lied to Parliament consistently and failed to keep any vestige of a record on his performance. He knew that the lies that he was projecting were unsubstantiated but yet we were dragged into a revenge Bush War created purely because Daddy Bush cocked up a decade before and failed to nail Saddam Hussein.

Saddam had nothing to do with Al Quada and he balanced the Middle East because he helped to keep Iran in check. He was a bad man but was he worse than Robert Mugabe or the Chinese? We as a nation cannot flaunt international law and despite the Blair conviction he was no worse than many others. So why did he send us to war?

Tony Blair is an opportunist and so is his wife. They consistently during his premiership demonstrated a lack of class, a lack of quality and a lack of integrity. Today was the chance for the Chillout Enquiry to attack him and expose him. They failed and many of us believe that this enquiry like so many others assembled by NoLab will fail the public.

Today the Blairs have amassed a vast fortune purely because they did the bidding of the billionaires from America. It cost many lives but heh what the hell!!

The Iraq Enquiry and this Government

Well at last, piece by piece, the events which led up to the Iraq War and in effect have all been aired in public are being confirmed. Today one of the few people that could tell the truth, because she had nothing to hide, came forward and nailed Jack Straw.

Elizabeth Wilmshurst, who had the courage to resign her position in the Foreign Office Legal Team, in protest against what she regarded as an illegal war told the enquiry that the whole legal team at the Foreign Office told Jack Straw that the war was illegal and he ignored them! Bingo! So far Straw has always skirted around the Blair cabal but now he is firmly tied into the scandal.

She also seemed to imply that the Attorney General, at the time (Lord Goldsmith) did not follow the advice of his team and ploughed a lone furrow in declaring the war legal. I well remember and there is archive film of both Straw and Blair arguing ferociously in the House of Commons that we had to invade Iraq on the grounds of the evidence they had that Saddam Hussein was hoarding weapons of mass destruction.

Of course we now know that it was a lie, we all now suspect that Bush and Blair cooked it all up (for what reason I have to ask) and the rest fell into line. Only the late Robin Cook and Clare Short had the courage to oppose the Blair cabal. I fear that Lord Goldsmith is in for a rocky ride tomorrow and on Friday if this keeps up Blair might be fighting to keep himself and Jack Straw out of The Hague!

Protecting our Children!?

There is more than a whiff of stench surrounding the decision by Lord Hutton to mothball the documents surrounding the death of Dr David Kelly for seventy years. I cannot remember this decision being publically declared at the time that he made it and it has only been revealed by a group of doctors who are querying the verdict of suicide.

This has already been challenged in a book written by the admirable MP Norman Baker who researched the death of Dr Kelly in depth and concluded that death attributed by Lord Hutton to suicide was highly questionable not to say impossible. It was widely believed that the Hutton enquiry was an amateurish whitewash but now it would appear to be rather more than that.

NoLab politicians habitually use the excuse for a cover up by insisting that they are 'protecting children'. Ed Balls uses it a great deal particularly when he wants to protect the Social Services against investigation so when I read that Hutton had excused his actions by insisting that he was 'protecting the children' of David Kelly I drew a deep breath.

The Chilcott Enquiry is said to be investigating all aspects of the Iraq War and the death of David Kelly is very much part of this action or should be. If the Hutton Enquiry has now lost any credibility surely there is someone with sufficient power who can reverse his decision and present the relevant documents to Chilcott? If not what is the point of it?

The Iraq Enquiry and this Government

Could anything get much worse? Military leader after leader are now coming forward to humiliate the NoLab government over their inability to cope or organise the post situation in Iraq. There is a general malaise in this government as they are unable to cope with anything other than political spin and ideological doctrine.

This is their world and even today in parliament when they admit that they have got everything wrong they continue to play politics. The pre-budget report today was horrendous. Nothing is the fault of Gordon Brown or his cohorts and of course it is all the fault of ther dastardly Tories and their wealth and private education!

They have bankrupted us and yet they rely on puerile political point scoring to blind the concrete brained NoLab traditionalists to hopefully win the next election. Make no mistake about it they only care about power. They have no plans for the future but they do want any incoming goverment to inherit a totally impossible situation!

You see where people like Gordon Brown and Alistair Darling are concerned it is all about power. It is not about me and you, or the country, or patriotism because in essence it is all about them! These privileged Marxists who have never had to struggle are prepared to bring down the whole country just to fulfill their political ambitions.

Assasination is really too good for them!
